Cozy Cottage

I made this card awhile back and just never got around to photographing it.  Today, was a good day to share this with you as I am preparing for my Open House for tomorrow.  At the time that I made this card, I was experimenting with the Brusho Crystal Colour and thought this detailed hostess stamp set called Cozy Cottage would be perfect to use with it. I love this stamp set embossed.  It makes it look soft like a cozy cottage should feel.  Gold embossing paired with Vanilla cardstock is fantastico if you ask me.  (Note: I did use watercolor paper for the main panel and then attached it to a Thick Very Vanilla card base). I sprayed the watercolor paper with water and carefully shook Prussian Blue in the sky area and Yellow and Mossy Green in the rest of the area.  I then sprayed it a little more and then ended up grabbing my Aqua Painter to blend the blue for the sky a little bit more.  I got lucky as it turned out even better than I thought fo...

Oh So Eclectic Card Class

Hello, and Happy Memorial Day weekend!  It's hot in Minnesota, so I am thinking you are all enjoying some heat, too? :) Today, I am sharing a card made using the Oh So Eclectic Bundle and matching Naturally Eclectic DSP. I am sharing this project  to introduce you to a Memorial Day Special I am having with this bundle.  This bundle is retiring but the stamp set and matching framelits are carrying over. I made a card class using the Naturally Eclectic DSP and also an additional version of this class using the new  and upcoming Garden Impressions DSP !  Here's the details on my special: Purchase the Oh So Eclectic Bundle using my May Host Code MJK6EJWE by Wednesday, May 30, 2018, and receive the following: a PDF containing 8 projects (4 using the Naturally Eclectic DSP , and 4 using the new Garden Impressions DSP); the supplies to create 4 projects using the new Garden Impressions DSP ; and I will also provide the pre-cut Natu...

Watercolor Wings

I remember when this set came out with matching framelits and how excited my customers and I were!  It feels like such a long time ago!  We have really come along way with Stampin' UP!s addition of product suites and stamp bundles. I was experimenting with my ink colors and found that Tranquil Tide and Mint Macaron work well together.  As a result, it was easy to add the 3rd color to each.  Here is Grapefruit Grove- a new In Color for 2018! And here's Daffodil Delight: Again, I got to go through my stash of embellishments and found these glimmer brads to use.  Super fun to get to use some of my hoarded stash! Party Panda's

Okay, I realize Party Pandas is technically NOT a retiring stamp set from the annual catalog, but hey, it worked for my stash of pre-made card bases and darn it, it's a cute stamp set!  I mean Sale-a-bration just ended, right?? Well, it feels like it to me.... I tried to make a "girl" and "boy" birthday card, but obviously either one would work for anyone. :)  I was going to attempt to add eye lashes to the Panda with the Berry Burst balloons but changed my mind at the last minute. :) The Panda is holding 2 balloons from the Birthday Delivery Bundle.  I colored the one above with my Night of Navy Stampin' Blends. Since we don't have Berry Burst Stampin' Blends, I colored this one using my Aqua Painter.  To make it look more "feminine", I colored the balloons and party hat with a layer of Clear Wink of Stella too. SSC #179: Blooms & Wishes

Today, I'm sharing another card I made with a retiring stamp set for the new color challenge at Sunday Stamps!  Blooms and Wishes is a beautiful flower photopolymer stamp set that was first introduced in the 2016-2017 annual catalog. I used new, current and retiring products for today's project.   How about that purple flower? It's one of the new ink colors  in the 2018-2019 catalog called Gorgeous Grape .  I also used some new 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon .  It's so fun and airy. :) I paired this new color with Island Indigo, Night of Navy and Melon Mambo.  Sadly, Island Indigo is a retiring color, and this is one color I will miss for sure. Here's the new challenge at Sunday Stamps! One of my favorite all time background stamps is the Hardwood . I'm glad it's one of the stamp sets carrying over.  I love to ink it up with my White Craft ink pad as I have done for this card. Stampin' UP! products: To play a...

Birthday Blooms

Hello, and happy Friday! We made it through another week over here and I will be spending the entire weekend driving back and forth for a traveling soccer tournament for our youngest child still at home.  Today's card showcases another all time favorite stamp set that is retiring: Birthday Blooms. This flower never gets old if you ask me.  It's so fun to color and especially with Stampin' Blends.  As you can see, I am continuing with the same card base layout as my previous posts.  I was serious when I said I made a bunch of the card bases.  Note: I still have more to share with you next week! ha! I just love this!  Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends for the flower and Powder Pink DSP and cardstock.  Really so soft and pretty together. But then there's Rich Razzleberry.  I know that in this particular photo it does NOT look like Rich Razzleberry.  Sometimes I have difficulty getting the correct colors in the photo and Lemon Lime Twist w...

Birthday Delivery

Birthday Delivery is another unique bundle that is retiring.  It was one of the first stamp sets that I remember from Onstage last year to have matching DSP that you could die cut out to match the stamped images.  My favorite image in this set is the little girl.  My daughter had the curliest blond hair when she was little.  She still has that beautiful curly hair. :) I used my Stampin' Blends to color the stamped images and then adhered them with Dimensionals.  Super easy, but super cute. Don't you think? The Powder Pink version versus the Berry Burst version.  Which do you like better?  It's a tough one if you ask me. Birthday Delivery SHOP the deals in the  Clearance Rack ! Celebration Time No. 2

Hello, crafty friends.  I've been away from stamping as our outside water faucet froze over the winter and I was watering the newly planted grass seed I put down and did not know that it was flooding our basement. EEK.  Luckily, the damage was contained to one bedroom.  We have to replace a wall, part of a closet and the flooring.  With all my "stamping stuff" and the entire contents of my daughter's room now in my stamping area, it looks like I am ready for a hoarding episode on TV!  Luckily, my daughter is in college and isn't using her room, because I don't know where she would sleep with my oldest child returning home after graduating from college. :0 Today, I am sharing another card I made using the same layout as my previous post and using the same stamp set: Celebration Time . This time I made a wedding card.  We have one wedding in early September and I think this card will be perfect for it. :) I just love this cake and plan to keep the Cel...

Celebration Time

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I am sharing a card I made for an upcoming birthday using the retiring bundle called Celebration Time . You can never have too many birthday sets (in my opinion) and a stamp set that has a matching framelit set makes it a must have for me. :) Does this card layout look familiar?  It's a case of my card HERE .   A very clean and simple (CAS) card.  And if you have been a loyal customer of mine, you most likely have received a 6"x 6" sampling of the Fresh Floral Designer Series Paper stack and a sampling of the matching In Color ribbon as a thank you Host Code gift from me in the past so you should be able to CASE this layout very easily. I love the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder! It works perfect for the subtle flower pattern in this DSP. I also love the fact that I got to go thru my collection of embellishments and find the perfect pink glitter brads to use on my flowers for the cake.  When Stampin' UP! retired brads, I kinda ...

SSC178: Share What You Love

Hello, crafty friends. Today I am sharing a card I made following the new sketch challenge at Sunday Stamps! I used the very awesome and must have early release of the Share What You Love Suite. I just love these watercolor wash flowers from the Love What You Do stamp set! Two of the solid stamps in the set work perfect for giving it a quick watercolor wash. And the matching Share What You Love Specialty DSP is simply gorgeousness!  This specialty DSP is heavy weight and has some pearlized sparkle on at least one side of all the sheets but one. For today's card, I made a planters box using the Wood Crate Framelits die to house my flowers.  To create it, I just die cut one of the crate sides, cut the width down and then folded it in half.  Super easy and quick to make! I have a special going on in conjunction with Stampin' UP!s early release of the Share What You Love Suite . I have made a card class which contains 6 different projects in which I will provide...
