Words take Center Stage...

Hello.  Today, I made a belated birthday card for a family member who's birthday was Tuesday.  You would think that I could just go to my card box and grab a card, right?  Well, noooooo- I have to make a new one even though I have quite a few on hand.  Can you relate, or is this just me?? Any hoot, here's what I made following the AAA Cards challenge blog . One of the requirements at AAA Cards is to not have too many embellishments.   Um, are a bunch of pretty new sequins considered too many? My card said: "put those new Iridescent Sequins on me"- so I did. :)  Otherwise, I would consider this CAS, right? Here's the challenge: I love this chalkboard picture with the lightening. Words do have power, and we do need to choose them carefully before we speak (and stamp). My card says it all- hayppy belated birthday! In Color Bookmarks

Hello, crafty friends! Today, I am sharing the bookmarks I made for attendees of my new catalog Open House back on June 1, 2017. Each year,  I make something for my customers to keep which showcases the new In Colors so that they can have something to go home with and compare them to other ink colors they have on hand. I love how beautifully the 2017-2019 In Colors work together this year.  They are all so pretty. The flowers are from the Daisy Delight stamp set,  The sentiment is from the Just Add Text stamp set. Don't forget that the Daisy Delight Bundle is no longer on back order!   To me, this is an awesome must have new bundle in the 2017-2018 Stampin' UP! catalog! Hello, crafty friends.  With summer in full force, I am very busy as I am sure you are too. :)  The weather has been so beautiful here! I am loving Minnesota's summer so far! Today, I am sharing another card I made a while back for my Open House on June 1st.   This Little Piggy stamp set is so much fun!  I love the "kisses" image in this stamp set. :) He just finished playing in the mud and is ready to give you a kiss!  So cute!  I will be sending this to my daughter at college. :) Supplies:  This Little Piggy and Harwood stamp sets; Powder Pink, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Whisper White Cardstock; Basic Black, Soft Suede, Powder Pink and Craft White ink; Stitched Shapes Framelits, Powder Pink 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon, and Dimensionals. I didn't take a picture of the inside, but I stamped the "Love You" in a heart framelit and surrounded it with the "kisses". :) June Host Code:  33P4VBXP Place an order of at le...

Sunday Stamps! #155

Hello, crafty friends! It's time for another fun challenge at Sunday Stamps! . This week we are working with a color challenge using some vibrant summer colors. We do not list specific color names so you are free to interpret the colors for yourself.  They do not have to be from Stampin' UP! but please remember to use at least three colors in your project. :) I decided to make a floral birthday card using the new  Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.  The Stampin' UP! colors I used are: Smoky Slate, Wild Wasabi, Flirty Flamingo, Real Red and Berry Burst. I love the font in this stamp set, and I love the fact that this stamp set is photopolymer so that I can easily line up my stamped images for creating this floral arrangement. Card supplies: Stamps: Happy Birthday Gorgeous (145301) Ink: Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Wild Wasabi, Flirty  Flamingo, Real Red and Berry Burst Cardstock:  Whisper White, Flirty Flamingo, Smoky Slate and Be...

Sunday Stamps! #154

Hello, crafty friends! Today's card share was made using the new sketch challenge at Sunday Stamps! Take a peak: I used the awesome new Daisy Delight stamp set, matching Daisy punch and Delightful Daisy DSP to create this weeks challenge card. The Daisy Delight Bundle (145361) was so popular as a pre-order item for Demonstrators, that it is currently is not available to order.  Sad, I know!!!!  But Stampin' UP! is planning to have it back in stock by the end of the month. :)  I was so busy preparing for my Open House on June 1, 2017, that I honestly did not know that you could NOT order it! Here's this weeks sketch challenge at   Sunday Stamps: My favorite new In Color is Berry Burst.  It's a fun, bright color somewhere in between a hot pink and a purple.  It works beautifully with many different colors.   Colors I used for this card are: Berry Burst , Daffodil Delight, Tranquil Tide and Pool Party.   Again, I have to ...
