Dynamic Duos#100: Triple Threat and last DD challenge!

Sad news alert!!!! The creator of Dynamic Duos: Lesley Croghan and its manager Anne Marie Hile have decided to end the Dynamic Duos challenge blog!   OH MY!   As a result, THIS is the last challenge you can participate in for Dynamic Duos!  If you've never played along, don't miss out, come join us for the last Dynamic Duos challenge! Here's the LAST challenge: And here's what I made: I first embossed the flower image from the Gifts of Kindness stamp set with white embossing powder onto Whisper White card stock.  I then sponged So Saffron and Pool Party ink randomly around the image.  Then I stamped the flower image a few times in the background using Pool Party ink. The words are from the hostess set called Simply Sketched.   Although, I love the set of words that go with the Gifts of Kindness stamp set, I really wanted to use my Word Bubble Dies, and this sentiment worked perfectly for the layout I was trying to achieve.  :)...

Get out your "blues" for this card....

It's been raining for 2 days over here, so its a perfect time to clean and stamp. :)  I was working outside early in the week trying to get a lot of the yard work done, so I am welcoming the rain now. Today I am sharing a card I made for the Colour Me Card Challenge .  Here's the challenge: The colors are: Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Pacific Point and Tempting Turquoise.  And here's the card I made. UPDATED PICTURES: I used the Mixed Bunch stamp set and stamped one flower with Pacific Point ink onto a Tempting Turquoise cardstock and another flower with Bermuda Bay ink onto Coastal Cabana cardstock. My sister-in-laws birthday was on Earth Day, and I missed it.  As a result, I used my Remembering Your Birthday stamp set to make this into a belated birthday card. :)  Sadly, Stampin' UP! is retiring all the Core'dinations cardstock. Here, I used a piece of Coastal Cabana Core'dinations cardstock and ran it thru my Honeycomb embossing fold...

Black Tie Week #99: Black and Rich Razzleberry

Hello, and happy Saturday morning to you! Can you believe that Easter is already tomorrow?  Wow! Time just keeps flying by and I feel like I haven't accomplished as much as I would like to for Easter preparations. Such is life in the fast lane, right?  However, I did accomplish my card for this weeks challenge!  Here's the challenge for this week. Notice the dessert option of "gold". How fun! And here's my "Black Tie" card creation with the dessert option of gold (click on picture for extra large size): I hand cut the Black piece of cardstock and made it into a frame using my SU paper cutter.  Then I paper pierced around it.  To make it "pop", I added small pieces of foam double sided tape around the edges of it and matted it onto the gold embossed piece of Rich Razzleberry piece.  I also added a strip of Gold Sequin Trim around the flower .  So fun!   Gold Sequin Trim $4.95 Gold Foil Sheets $3.95 Flower...

Watermark Easter card...

Hello!  Happy Monday!  I am busy making my Easter cards (at the last minute!) and have one I made this morning to share with you. :)  I followed the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches challenge blog.  Here's the sketch: And here's my card:  As you can see, I used the watermark image from the awesome stamp set called: Happy Watercolor .  As I stated before, my favorite stamp image from the Occasions catalog is the watermark image from this stamp set.  And look how cool it looks with my retired Everybunny stamp set!  Yes, I did water color a few things-rather quickly I might add- after the fact, but you certainly wouldn't need to.  It's such an easy way to add color to your outline stamp images without the hassle of coloring each image! Hoot-hoot!  Isn't this fun?  I also used my new Fringe scissors again.  First I hand cut a "curve" shape on the Gumball Green piece and then cut it with the my scissors to give it a "...

Subtly Yours....Dynamic Duos #98

Happy Saturday!  We are moving onto some soft and subtle colors this week using Wisteria Wonder and So Saffron. Here's this weeks challenge: And here's my card creation: I thought these colors would be great for Easter and I wanted to use my Spiral Flower die again.  It's so cool and makes beautiful flowers very, very easily.  New toys are so much fun, don't you agree?  I also added the fringe on the bottom -which is also a new toy for me. :) Spiral Flower Originals Die #129379 Fringe Scissors #133325 Delicate Doilies Sizzlits Die #126999 So now that you have seen my creation, go ahead and stop by the Dynamic Duos challenge blog and play along! We look forward to seeing what you create!                       And don't forget to check out the other design team samples below: Anne Marie Hile Annette Elliott Angel Johns Caroline Bredeson Cindy Brumba...

Another Great Year card..take 2:

Here is another card I put together using this weeks Dynamic Duos colors of Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise that didn't make it as the finalist for uploading to the challenge.  I had the main image stamped and then said "nah" and moved onto making the oval framelit shape.  But this guy was sitting on my table so I decided I should finish him up. :) RECIPE: STAMPS: Another Great Year, Gorgeous Grunge and Banner Blast INK: White Craft pad, Tempting Turquoise, Memento Black and Melon Mambo PAPER: Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo and Whisper White ACCESSORIES:  Arrows Embossing Folder, Chalk Marker, Banner punch, Owl punch, Black and Melon Mambo DSP and colored rhinestones. There is still time to play! Head on over to Dynamic Duos and join the fun!

Dynamic Duos #97: Bold and Cheery!

Good morning, stampers! It's time for another color challenge at Dynamic Duos and this week we are making creations using some bold and cheery colors. Drum roll, please...... Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise! Hoot-hoot!  Fun colors, right?  Here's the challenge: And here's my card creation: I had a hard time deciding which set to use as so many would look good with these "hot" colors, but in the end....my new stamp sets ALWAYS win. :) This new stamp set can be found in the Occasions catalog. It's called Another Great Year .   I love the font it has. I recently put it together and decided it needed some attention. I ended up with a few "drafts" on my stamp table, but in the end decided on this particular one. I love it!  It's just so Bold and Cheery, don't you agree? And of course I had to use my new Chalk Marker .  I just love that thing! It dries quickly and goes on smoothly.  So fun! RECIPE: STAMPS:  Another Great Ye...
