Another Beautiful Day

Here's another card I made using the Beautiful Day stamp set.  I created a pastel rainbow background using my ink pads with the Sponge Brayers on the beautiful Springtime Foil Speciality DSP from Sale-a-bration. Colors I used to create my rainbow background (from top to bottom): Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, and Pool Party. I embossed the butterfly in silver and colored it with my Stampin' Blends. Afterwards, I added some Clear Wink of Stella to some of the colored sections.  Its so pretty and sparkly in person. :) The Gold and Silver Faceted Gems work awesome with this stamp set.  Just change up the sentiment and you have a perfect Easter card. We are counting down to the end of Sale-a-bration!  Check out my more rewards deal for you- now until March 31, 2018!  Complete details are HERE . Happy Stamping!

Perennial Birthday for SSC175

It's Sunday, and that means its time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps!   This week we are working with a color challenge and here is what I made using the Perennial Birthday stamp set. Spring flowers for this weekend of more snow?  Didn't Mother Nature know Spring has sprung?  Hopefully we won't get too much. I am very ready for green grass, flowers, and warm weather. :) I used another stamp set to create this weeks challenge card. Do you know what it is? I will give you a hint.  It's a Sale-a-bration stamp set. Did you guess Eclectic Expressions ? I used the cloudy/watermark image for the colorful background, and the speckles image to add dots around my cluster of flowers . Here's this weeks color challenge at Sunday Stamps!: The colors I used for this weeks challenge are: Wisteria Wonder, Marina Mist, Pool Party, Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz.    After creating the background with the Eclectic Expressions stamp set, I st...

Beautiful Day

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I am sharing a card I made using the Beautiful Day stamp set. I paired it with the Sale-a-bration Basket Weave Embossing Folder. The butterfly was embossed in gold on Whisper White cardstock and colored with the light and dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends markers.  I hand cut it out and  also added a little bit of Clear Wink of Stella to the light Daffodil Delight colored areas. For the Pool Party panel, I first embossed the flower cluster image in White Embossing powder and then ran it through the Basket Weave Embossing Folder. The Gold Facet Gems work great with this butterfly image. Beautiful Day stamp set Card Supplies: Beautiful Day and Sure Do Love You stamp sets; Daffodil Delight, Whisper White and Pool Party Cardstock; Versamark ink Gold and White Embossing Powder, Layering Oval Framelits, Basket Weave Embossing Folder, Daffodil Delight 1/4" Double-Stitched Ribbon and Gold Facet Gem. Happy St. Patrick's Day

Hello, crafty friends and Happy St. Patrick's Day!  I have me some Irish heritage - how about you?  I felt compelled to whip up something festive to acknowledge St. Patty's Day. :) This festive card makes me think of my favorite coffee drink: a Peppermint Mocha. :)  This is a super easy card to make with its monochromatic color of Garden Green.. The only time consuming part was making the 3 left clovers out of the heart image in the stamp set for the coffee sleeve. But since this is a photolymer stamp set, creating a 3 leaf clover pattern was fun! The heart  below the sentiment is from the Hearts and Stars Elements  and I colored it with my Garden Green marker to match my theme. The sentiment from the Charming Cafe Bundle worked perfect for my card, and I know just the right recipient for this card. :) I have a new IN THE MAIL and IN PERSON CLASS centered around the Truly Tailored Bundle . Details can be found on my class page  HERE . ...

Bird Banter #SCC174

Hello, crafty friends. It's Sunday, and that means its time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps!   Here's a fun card I made using the Bird Banter stamp set. Don't you just love my little parakeet and "her" lipstick? Ba-ha-ha-ha!  I just couldn't resist making "her" because of this fun sentiment. :) I used a little bit of the Brusho Crystals on watercolor paper to create my background panel.  The bird and balloon were also stamped on watercolor paper and then colored using an Aqua Painter with ink refills. Here's this weeks sketch challenge created by Claire: And here's a close up of my bird and her lipstick! Just cracks me up looking at it here as I write my blog post. Card Supplies: Bird Banter and Jar of Love stamp sets Berry Burst and Dapper Denim cardstock Basic Black, Emerald Envy, Berry Burst, Dapper Denim and Daffodil Delight ink watercolor paper, Aqua Painter, Brusho Crystals, Tutti-frutti  Sequins and ...

Picture Perfect Birthday

Today, I am sharing a card using the Picture Perfect Party Suite on page 4 and 5 of the Occasions catalog.  Because of the beautiful life like photographic images in the Picture Perfect Party DSP , it's easy to whip up a quick and colorful birthday card in a matter of minutes. To make my card really pop, I added the Sale-a-bration item: Celebrate You Thinlits Dies using Silver Foil Sheets to match the sliver bow on the DSP as well as one of my favorite ribbons- the Berry Burst 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon. I stamped one bow in Berry Burst and Fresh Fig ink and the other is Lemon Lime Twist and Garden Green ink.  Both were hand cut and added to the card with Dimensionals.  Finally, to top it off, I added Metallic Enamel Shapes to the center of the bows.  The Simple Stripes Embossing Folder has the perfect amount of detail to compliment the DSP without overpowering it. :) Picture Perfect Birthday Picture Perfect Party DSP I've been busy working on ...

Beautiful Day

Today, I am sharing a card I made using the big and bold flower from the Beautiful Day stamp set.  I paired it with the Springtime Foil Specialty DSP . One of my most favorite and most often used framelits is the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits . It has been around for several years, and I still love creating projects with it! For this project, I embossed the Beautiful Day flower with Copper Embossing Powder and then water colored it using Powder Pink and Berry Burst inks with my Aqua Painter.  I actually made this flower with intentions of using it in place of this project HERE , but the flower kinda got lost in the ombre background I created, so I set it aside for another day.  Today, I had time to find a home for it. For the insert, I attached just the sides of the Springtime Specialty DSP to the Whisper White cardstock so that I could insert a gift card or money. Card Supplies: Beautiful Day, Picture Perfect Birthday (sentiments) Powder Pink and Whi...

Have a Magical Day

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I am sharing the card I made for my son's birthday.  I used a bunch of different items, but it all centers around the Magical Day Bundle . I first started by die cutting the number sixteen using the Myths & Magic 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper with the  Large Number Framelits .   Next, I decided it would look cool for Gandalf (the wizard in the Magical Day Bundle) to cast a spell with the sixteen. After deciding this, I decided that the retired Sunburst Thinlits  would   work well as a backdrop for Gandalf's magical birthday wish. :)  Finally, I decided he needed to stand on some clouds to cast his spell. I water colored the wizard using my ink refills with my Aqua Painter.  The words are from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set. Card Supplies: Magical Day Bundle, Thoughtful Banners Lemon Lime Twist, Night of Navy and Whisper White cardstock Basic Black, Lemon Lime Twist, Blushing Bride, Smoky Slate and Nig...
