Happy Birthday, Zachary!

Today is my baby's 12th birthday! Happiest Birthday wishes to you, Zachary! May all your 12 year old dreams come true!  We love you very much!  Here's the card I made for him: Mr. Zachary is a hockey player like his big brother Josh, so I continue the hockey card theme... I used lots of retired Stampin' UP! products but also a few new ones.  It was a lot of fun to make.  Current Stampin' UP! supplies used: On Film Framelits, Arrows Textured Embossing Folder, Gorgeous Grunge and Watercolor Garden stamp sets.  Everything else is retired. Colors are Blue Bayou, Riding Hood Red and River Rock. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Friday!

Dynamic Duos #91: Triple Threat week!

Dynamic Duos has a Triple Threat for us this week! :) Dynamic Duos dares you to create a project using the colors: Wild Wasabi, Tangerine Tango and Melon Mambo.  Here's the challenge: And here's my card creation: You may be able to tell (or not) that I used an image from the Peaceful Petals stamp set for this challenge AGAIN! My point here is that I have now used every image from the Peaceful Petals stamp set to create something. So, I think it is safe to say that I have already gotten my moneys worth from this cute stamp set! Yippee! No guilt over here for adding another stamp set to my collection!  :)   I stamped the leaf image 4 times.  Starting first in the center and then masking it with a post it note and then adding the other three leaf images.  I then water colored it with Wild Wasabi ink.  And how about that HOT pink picture frame? I am so loving the On Film Framelits .  So...

Peaceful Petals

Here's another card creation using Peaceful Petals.   I am having a lot of fun with this stamp set.  I have made a card with almost every image in it.  Just one more to go.....   Lots of fun items used to create this card, which is a sympathy card. Love that Hardwood Background stamp set and the Sale-a-bration Banner punch and matching Banner Blast stamp set.  Fun items to play with this year!   I stamped, water colored and cut out 3 flower images to pop out on top.  The Hardwood background stamp set was stamped in Smokey Slate and sponged with Gumball Green, Island Indigo and Smokey Slate ink to soften it up and add some more color.  I also used the Banners Framelits to cut out the flower image and Island Indigo mat behind it.    RECIPE: STAMPS: Peaceful Petals, Hardwood and Banner Blast (SAB); INK: Memento Black, Smokey Slate, Island Indigo and Gumball Green; PAPER: Smokey Slate and Island Indigo ACC...

Dynamic Duos: #90: Black Tie Week...

Hello! It's Black Tie week at Dynamic Duos, and we are looking for creations using the colors Black and Daffodil Delight.  There is also a dessert option to create a "shaped/fun fold card".  Wow! What a fun challenge we have this week! Here's the challenge to play along with us this week: And here's my "shaped/fun fold card" for this weeks challenge: This sunflower birthday card opens on the side.  I embossed the largest framelit from the Floral Frames Collection using the Decorative Dots embossing folder (FREE Sale-a-bration item!) and then sponged Daffodil Delight ink over it. I also used the Starburst Framelits and the matching Starburst Sayings from the Occasions mini catalog.  On the inside of the card,  I added and a gift card holder using the Envelope Punch board on one side, and stamped Daffodil Delight and Basic Black flowers using the Petite Petals stamp set on the other side.  A very fun card to make! ...

Dynamic Duos # 89: Subtly Yours...

Hello, and welcome to another Dynamic Duos Challenge! This week we are creating projects using Pistachio Pudding and Blushing Bride.  Here's the challenge: And here's the card I made for this weeks challenge:       I used the same stamp set from last week's challenge called Peaceful Petals.  I love to water color and this set is perfect for water coloring.  I usually do NOT use water color paper, I guess I will say I'm too lazy to get it out.  However, today I decided to give it a whirl.  It may be hard to see in this photo, but the front/main flower is pieced together three times.   I used the smallest framelit from the Banners Framelits for the Pistachio Pudding flags on the side, and the Blushing Bride DSP is retired.  I love how this turned out, and I hope you like it too. :)  Why don't you pop on over to the Dynamic Duos challenge blog and play along with us this week!  For...

Chalk Board card

Hello, stampers. Today I am sharing a chalk board card  hostess club ladies made recently using the Geometrical Bundle from the Spring Occasions catalog.  We also used the matching Kaleidoscope DSP which can be found on page 27. A very bright and cheery card!  I love how it turned out. Not only is this perfect for the little people in your lives, but its also perfect for the fun people in your lives.  I will definitely be making more of these!  As I stated in a previous post, I used the directions from Becky Roberts at Inking Idaho.  To make the chalk smudges,  we used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.  I think club ladies had a lot of fun making a mess on the chalk board! :)    Below is what it looks like on the inside. We made a pocket on the bottom of the card to hold cash or a gift card.    RECIPE: STAMPS: Geometrical, Hardwood and Gorgeous Grunge. INK: Strawberr...

Dynamic Duos #88: Bold and Cheery

Good morning!  It's time for another fun challenge at Dynamic Duos! This weeks challenge is to create a project using Real Red and Island Indigo....for a Bold and Cheery creation. :)  Here's the challenge: And here's what I made this week.  I think I was planning for it to be a birthday card, with it being all bright and cherry, but I finished the inside off as a sympathy card.  I never have enough of those...unfortunately. I am in love with the Fresh Prints DS paper pack in the Occasions catalog!  There are so many cool sheets in it. Luckily for this weeks challenge I was able to use it! Yippee!    I also used the new Peaceful Petals stamp set along with the On Film Framelits die.  I water colored the flowers using my Aqua painter and reinkers.  And in case you haven't noticed, I love our Tea Lace Paper Doilies.         I hope this finds you inspired enough to play along with us!...
