Myths and Magic Birthday

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I am sharing a card made using the Myths and Magic Suite from the Occasions catalog.  This adorable set is on the retirement list. This piece designer paper from the Myths & Magic Specialty DSP is textured with glittery bubbles which means its perfect for little mermaids to swim around in. :)  All of the images in the Magical Day stamp set have a matching framelit. Say Yah! Who doesn't love that? Card Supplies: Magical Day Bundle , Myths & Magic Specialty DSP, Myths & Magic Specialty Washi Tape, Beautiful Bouquet (sentiment), Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide, Whisper White and Thick Whisper White cardstock, Bronze, Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake and Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends, Layering Ovals framelits, Decorative Ribbon Border punch. For the inside of this card I will be adding the sentiment from the Bubble Over stamp set which states " My your day bubble over with ha...

Sneak Peek: Painted Glass for SSC177

Hello, crafty friends.  Today's project is a sneak peek of another  new bundle from the upcoming catalog called Painted Glass .  This bundle is very unique in that the images in both the stamp set and framelits look like stained glass.  This set will be perfect for coloring with the Stampin' Blend markers. :0 My card was created using the new color challenge at Sunday Stamps! I used Very Vanilla, Night of Navy, Tranquil Tide and Crumb Cake. Here's a closeup of the Basic Black die cut stained glass window using the Stained Glass Thinlits Dies.  I added a piece of vellum to the backside of the die cut circle and then colored the flower image using Night of Navy and Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends.  Without having a Tranquil Tide Stampin' Blend marker, I simply used my Tranquil Tide ink refill with my Blender pen. Adding the vellum behind the thinlit really makes it look like a stained glass image!  The sentiment and butterflies were embossed w...

Five Minute card for Friday

Hello crafty friends. Happy Friday! Today, I'm sharing a card I made rather quickly because I used all the products in the Petal Passion Suite .  No major thinking to create this when you start with a Petal Passion Memories and More card. If you have the Petal Palette Bundle , I highly recommend getting the coordinating Memories and More Card pack before its gone. I colored a 3" x 4" card from the Petal Passion Memories and More Card Pack using Rich Razzleberry,  Pink Pirouette, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Stampin' Blends.  Again, notice how I just "threw" the color on- no blending so that it looks like it was water colored.  These cards and thick and make it easy to color with your choice of media. Project Supplies: Petal Palette Bundle (145974), Petal Passion Memories and More Card Pack (145592), Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (145656), Decorative Ribbon Border punch (143721), Stampin' Blends Markers, Memento Black i...

An Animal Outing Birthday

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I am sharing a birthday card I made using the adorable new stamp set called Animal Outing .  It will be available as a bundle in the new 2018-2019 annual catalog. I paired it with some retiring products- namely the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series paper and the Tutti-frutti Adhesive-Backed Sequins .  I used my Stampin' Blends to color the images to match the DSP.    I will miss the color Soft Sky (sniff). The birthday hat is NOT from the set. I borrowed it from the retiring Bird Banter stamp set but I am sure there are other birthday hats that will work just as well. :0 Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper Soft Sky Cardstock NEW items have been added to the Clearance Rack ! Petal Passion Memories & More card

Hello, crafty friends.  I have a quick and easy card I made using one of the cards from the  Petal Passion Memories & More card pack.  I colored the  3" x 4" flower card from the card pack using ink refills and my Aqua Painter and gave it a quick wash of color not really worrying about blending or staying in the lines. Next, I matted the card onto a Sweet Sugarplum layer and finally onto a Whisper White card base. The sentiment and die cut shapes are from the Petal Palette Bundle.  I added a tinsel bow from the Love Mini Tinsel Trim Combo Pack. Sweet Sugarplum is a retiring color (sniff) and I will miss it! Ink colors used: Sweet Sugar Plum, Pool Party, and Old Olive. Note: There are two of each design in a memories and more note card pack. As a result,  I think these cards would be perfect for creating gift sets.  One set for you and the other to give away!   My goal: to actually do what I just said.  ha! AEstamps a La...

Onstage 2018 Highlights

Hello, crafty friends! Today, I am sharing a few of the photo's I took while at Onstage in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Here's all the goodies I received and won during the entire Onstage event on Saturday. At check in, each person attending received a new Stampin' UP! bag.  It was filled with lots of fun and new goodies which included a new stamp set, a planner, matching pens, and a light box which can be used to highlight our business name or whatever saying you want. At the end of the day we got to "clean" off the table by taking home the supplies we used during the Make and Takes.  All in all, I came home with 4 new stamp sets, 2 spools of ribbon, a Stampin' Blend marker in a new color (yah!), a planner, the cool light box and some new specialty designer paper.  Yippee! I was the driver getting us to Milwaukee, and here are the ladies who made the trip with me. Stesha Bloodheart and Jennifer Michalski.  Stesha was one of the Onstage display stampers...

Ink Color Revision at Stampin' UP!

Hello, crafty friends! I had so much fun at Onstage in Milwaukee, Wisconsin this past weekend, and today I wanted to share a few important details regarding the ink color revisions you will find in the new 2018-2019 annual catalog. Stampin' UP! had to make the decision to keep the existing design of the ink pads or revamp them due to the mold needing to be retired.  As a result, Stampin' UP! chose to redesign their ink pads. The new ink pads will now be: 1) stackable; 2) flip open without first unlatching the top; 3) contain additional stickers so that you can see what color it is when the ink is opened; and 4) the ink formula was changed by adding a defoaming agent to increase the stamping performance of the ink. With this revision, they decided to also revise the ink colors - to keep them on trend with current color demands/use. As a result, the following 13 ink colors are retiring: Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, Pink Pirouette, Wild Wasa...

Sweet Soiree Suite for SSC176

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I am sharing a birthday card I made using the Sweet Soiree Suite for the new challenge at Sunday Stamps!.   Say that 3 times! :) What's in the Sweet Soiree Suite, you say?  Well I used three of the main items in the suite: the Cake Soiree Bundle , the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit and the Sweet Soiree Specialty DSP .  Isn't that sweet? I will have to admit that this weeks challenge was a little bit of a challenge for me.  I don't think I have ever made a card with this kind of layout.  Thanks for the challenge, Heather!  Now that it's finished, it's definitely growing on me.  I may have to try this layout for another card creation. Here's what's cookin' at Sunday Stamps! this week. My mother-in-law will turn 92 in three short months.  I love that I could make her card extra special with the die cut numbers ready to go from the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit . Yippee, I have another card done BEFO...

A Cozy Cottage for You

Hello, crafty friends.  I am getting ready to travel to Wisconsin for Stampin' UP!'s Onstage.  It will be a whirl wind of stampers, crafting, and seeing new products from the upcoming annual catalog.  Sadly, Mother Nature is planning to stress me out with another winter storm on my drive back. :( I'm popping in to show you a card I made using the Cozy Cottage Hostess stamp set from the Occasions catalog.  I recently was talking to a customer and she said she wasn't sure if she would like this set as it would involve a lot of coloring. My card has some coloring but with all the detail in the image, embossing it and then choosing to highlight certain areas made this card quick and easy to do.  So here's my card for you, Linda. :) The cottage image was stamped with Veramark and then embossed with gold embossing powder on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  Believe it or not, leaving it just embossed was beautiful and I almost left it as is.  Bu...

Eclectic Expressions Thank you

Hello, crafty friends.  I am finally back from a mini trip to see my husband's side of the family who live over 600 miles away.  We made it safely back to Minnesota last night, and are in the midst of our second snowstorm in 4 days. Today, I am sharing a fun thank you card I made using the Eclectic Expressions stamp set from Sale-a-bration.  If you got this set, here is an easy card for you to CASE. I love images that you can use to create a quick background.  No worrying about lining up images, stamping straight, or perfect placement - just pick your colors and stamp!  For this background, I chose: Rich Razzleberry, Sweet Sugarplum, Powder Pink and Daffodil Delight. I stamped the larger images in light colors while stamping the small images in the darker ink colors.  This would be a take-off of the card I made HERE as I had the Perennial Birthday stamp set still sitting on my crafting table and had a couple leftover flowers sitting on my table ...
