Stitched All Around Bundle

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I am sharing a couple more cards I made using the Stitched All Around Bundle with the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper. I love how the floral images from the Cake Soiree work so well with Stitched Labels Framelits.  Isn't the stitched heart adorable? I used Shaded Spruce, Mango Melody and Calypso Coral from the Garden Impression DSP to create my flower arrangement. Card number two is similar in design, but this time I used Soft Sea Foam and Shaded Spruce cardstock for my card base layers. It was nice to see some ribbon be carried over to the new annual catalog.  The 1/8" Sheer Ribbon on page 201, is one of them, and it comes in great colors: Whisper White, Old Olive, Fresh Fig and Calypso Coral.  I will add these cards to my stash for giving as a gift set to my mother-in-law. She sends everyone a card for their birthday.  She is 92 years old and she continues to amaze me at her ability to get all those cards out...

Broadway Star

Hello, crafty friends.  Did you purchase the June 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit? I love that it coordinates with the new Broadway Suite in the annual catalog.   Today, I am sharing a few cards I made with some "slight" alterations to the card kit. This is the first one I made following the directions pretty much the same except that I put the balloons on the right hand side of the "Hooray".  I also used the cake image that came in the provided stamp set.  After making the first card, I decided to cut the card bases down to 4" x 5 1/4" pieces to use on a Whisper White card base. The second card is basically the same as provided in the kit except that I centered the Lemon Lime Twist banner and used the black cake instead of the Lovely Lipstick cake. Because the "Hooray" is shinny all by itself, I used the white pearls in the kit on the cake instead of the banner. For the third one here, I just flipped it onto its side. I then cut of...

Thank You

Hello, and happy Friday! Today, I am sharing a card I made using the Thank You Thinlits . We made a card using the Big Thank You Bundle at my Make and Take on Wednesday, and this was an additional sample I made showcasing the beautiful die.   To make my die cut sentiment pop, I paired it with the Tree Rings background stamp which was embossed in copper onto Bermuda Bay cardstock. As I make a lot of thank you cards, this bundle was a welcomed addition to my stash. :) June Host Code: T9EM6W2C Use this code when shopping with me to earn a  FREE gift ! Sunday Stamps! #181

Hello, crafty friends.  Happy Father's Day to all those great guys we call Dad! :) Today, we have a new bold and bright color challenge for you to play along with at Sunday Stamps!   Here's what I made using the Love What You Do stamp set. Stampin' UP! had carried a designer series paper called "A Pop of Pink" a few years back which highlighted Melon Mambo and Black.  This weeks color challenge reminded me of this paper. I have made so many different cards using the Love What You Do Suite with the coordinating  Share What You Love Specialty DSP that it was fun to create using a different color scheme.  Don't get me wrong - the Share What You Love DSP is DA BOMB but working with a color change is nice too. :) Here's this weeks challenge at Sunday Stamps! To play along with us, choose a minimum of 3 colors from the photo above.  I chose Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Lemon Lime Twist and Mint Macaron.  The deadline to submit your cre...

Lovely Floral

One of the new core colors added to the Subtles Family is Soft Sea Foam.  It's name says it all: a light green with a soft feel.  I paired it with Old Olive while using the Lovely Floral 3D Dynamic Impressions Embossing Folder. Another great color in the Subtles Family is Highland Heather. It pairs well with another new color: Gorgeous Grape.  Together, these four colors make for a "beautiful day". The Pair Pizzazz 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon which carried over to the new catalog complements both Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive. The Mint Macaron Faceted Dots work as well since it is in the same hue of Soft Sea Foam. Double yah! Project Supplies: Are looking for some unique ideas using the Share What Love Suite ?, I do have a PDF containing 6 projects along with a 43 minute private video that I will be posting on my PDF page that will be for sale next week.  More information to follow. :) June Host Code: T9EM6W2C Use this code when shopping with m...

You are Lovely

Today, I am sharing a card using the Stitched All Around Bundle along with a few other fun Stampin' UP! products to help me create a lovely floral arrangement. Let's not forget about the beautiful flowers from the Cake Soiree Bundle from the past Occasions catalog.  Thank goodness it carried over! I still want to create with it.  As you can see the flowers from this set work fabulously with the Stitched All Around Bundle . And isn't the stitching down the side of the card fun? I ran the framelit thru both the front and back of the card base using the Precision Base Plate .  A cool effect to see the stitching on the inside flap of the card. I haven't used the color Pacific Point in quit some time so it was fun to create something with it along with other new colors found in the very pretty Garden Impressions DSP . Mango Melody

A new core color in the Bright's Stampin' UP! family is Mango Melody .  It's definitely a bright and cheery summer color.  I decided to pair it up with the sunshine sentiment from the Stitched All Around Bundle . Aren't these "stitched" framelits magnificent? I just had to try them all out- and ended up layering them all up together to create a beautiful background for the sentiment.  These framelits are da bomb! I mean awesome! :)  After I made my layered focal point, I couldn't decide how best to display it...DSP? Cardstock?  It is so pretty that I decided to make a dramatic background for it. :)  I sponged (starting at the top) So Saffron, Daffodil Delight and then Mango Melody onto a piece of Shimmery White cardstock and then flicked water onto it with a wet toothbrush.  I then heat set it with the Heat Tool.   A fabulous bundle! SSC#180 An Animal Outing

Hello, crafty friends. It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps! and this week we are working with a sketch created by Amy.  In celebration of an upcoming anniversary, I created this fun card using the Animal Outing stamp set. Everyone who attended Onstage in April received this stamp set in their goody bag. A super cute set with fun words that can be used for baby, thank you, and a fun/funny anniversary card for your hubby if you are a stamper! tee-hee-hee.  None of that mushy stuff needed for my husband.  He has seen a million heart/love cards from me- so I am excited and happy to present this one to him for a change. :) I used my Aqua Painter with my ink pads to color the images and the DSP is the new Tranquil Textures .  I paired the DSP with Soft Sea Foam and Tranquil Tide cardstock. And notice the embellishments?  I used the new Mint Macaron Faceted Dots and the Tranquil Tide Baker's Twine from the Share What You Love Embellishment...

Annual Catalog is live!

Today is the day we can order from the new annual Stampin' UP! catalog!  My June shopping rewards for the month of June: Receive a package of Whisper White Note Cards and Envelopes and a PDF  sharing a template for a box (made using the Envelope Punch Board) to house a gift set using these note cards for an order of at least $40 using my June Host Code : T9EM6W2C . The new Accented Blooms stamp set looks fabulous on these note cards dressed in the new 2018-2019 In Colors. Attendees of my Open House made one of these adorable cards in their choice of color.  The note card using the Blueberry Bushel ink, designer series paper and matching 1/8" ribbon was the hot color chosen most by everyone (until it ran out). Here's the matching box I made which shows how quick and easy it is to make a gift set box using the Accented Blooms stamp set and changing the sentiment to fit the occasion. See more details and pictures for my June Host Code special HERE . Project Sup...
