Thankful for Sunday Stamps! #145

Welcome back to another challenge at S unday Stamps!  This week we are working with a color challenge.  I decided to ink up my new Hostess stamp set called Thankful Life from the Occasions catalog. I found that you should stamp the flower images first and then add the vase last.  I also found that it was the easiest to stamp the flowers in this order: 1) stamp the flower image (as shown above) in Early  Espresso; 2) stamp the flower image in Calypso Coral, and 3) stamp the cute little flowers as shown in Peekaboo Peach ink.  Since this is a photopolymer stamp set, it was very easy to line them up.  The results? A beautiful vase of flowers! :) The colors in this weeks challenge made me think of field flowers.  Therefore, I thought the Hardwood background stamp set would be a great addition.  Here's this weeks challenge at Sunday Stamps! The colors I chose to work with this weeks challenge are: Early Espresso, Smoky Slate, Peek...

Dragonfly Dreams in Dazzling Diamonds

Hello, crafty friends. Happy Friday!  It is bitter cold here in MN, but I have a bitter sweet card to share with you showcasing another card I made using the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle . To create this card: I cut a piece of Affectionately Yours Specialty DSP down to: 3 1/2" by 4 3/4" and then die cut the dragonfly image from the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits  in the center.  This was then layered onto a piece of Whisper White card stock followed by a piece of Crumb Cake card stock.  Next, I die cut a second dragonfly image onto a piece of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper and adhered it to the top of the DSP die cut area.  The card base is Watermelon Wonder. And to make things really efficient (and beautiful),  I used the dragonfly image I had orginaly die cut out of the Affectionately Yours Specialty DSP in the inside of the card- so there is no waste and everything matches perfectly.  :) Dragonfly Dreams Bundle: January Host C...

Dragonfly Dreams for a Wonderful Friend

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I am sharing a very fun card I made using the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle from the 2017 Occasions catalog. This is a SNEAK PEAK of one of the many cards I have been making with this set for my upcoming classes. There are so many different ways to stamp and die cut the dragonfly images in this set.  For this card, I stamped the dragonfly in Archival Basic Black ink onto Whisper White card stock and then colored it using various ink colors with my Blender Pen.  After it was die cut, I added a vellum layer using the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies  but I snipped off the body area so that I was left with just the wings. Are you inspired?  Why not attend my January Make and Take Class on Saturday, January 21, 2017 .   We will be making 3 beautiful projects using new products from the Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs.   Can't make it or live out of town?  You can purchase the completed projects for just $1...
