With Sympathy

Here's another card that I'm sharing that we made on Saturday morning.  It seems that I tend to make lots and lots of birthday cards- which is great, but I need to make more sympathy cards.  Knowing this, I cut enough pieces to make a few extra cards for myself.  Glad I did that. Sending hand made sympathy cards are best to give during those horrible/difficult times. We stamped the Flower image twice onto a pre-cut Chalk Talk framelit and then sponged the clouds using Coastal Cabana ink, a sponge dauber and a scallop circle shaped piece of vellum.  There is another flower image and clouds on the inside of the card as well. To finish off the flower image, we added some Sliver Sparkle Dazzling Details to the pedals of the flowers. Serene Silhouettes is one of my favorite "go to" stamp set from last years catalog. So many different occasions can be made with this one stamp set. RECIPE: STAMPS: Serene Silhouettes, Loving Thoughts and Papillon Potpourri INK: Smok...

Serene Birthday Wishes

Here's another share I found on my computer.  I love the Serene Silhouettes stamp set.  It was one of the very first stamp sets I purchased from the 2012-2013 Stampin' UP! catalog.  It is very versatile.  It will fit just about any occasion.  Lots of fun stuff used to make this card.  Colors are: Midnight Muse, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla.  Color inspiration came from the strip of designer series paper from the Comfort Cafe collection. Accessories : Delicate Doilies Sizzlits, Argyle Embossing Folder, 1 3/4" circle punch, Bitty Banners Framelits, Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack, Crumb Cake Seam Binding, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals, and small flowers are from the triple flower punch-retired. On a side note: I'm so excited for my daughter, Rebecca! She leaves tomorrow for a fun trip with her fellow high school band members to tour Los Angeles and San Diego, California! She will be participating in a Masters Class and will also be visitin...

I'm Here for You

I made this card awhile back at our cabin over the July 4th week using the Serene Silhouettes stamp set.  It was fun to use the new Apothecary Accents Framelits Die with the matching Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack mat, too.  With limited supplies that I bring with me, it really is a simple card.  I thought that perhaps I would add more goodies to it when we got home, but after looking at it again when we arrived home, I decided it really didn't need any "bling" since its an "earthy" kinda sympathy card. I used my markers to color the tree and stamped the main image and then continued to stamp along the card stock for depth.  I then used my Pumpkin Pie marker and colored randomly on the leaves of the tree and then stamped over the images.  I think it turned out great.  What do you think?  : ) Colors:  Early Espresso, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie.  Have a great day!   Annette
