Sunday Stamps! #132: Sunshine

Happy Sunday crafty friends!  It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  This week we are working with a fun sketch: Lots of possibilities for this layout.  Here's what I came up with: I used a bunch of new goodies for this card.  As a matter of fact, I used 4 different framelits sets: Sunburst Thinlits , Layering Circles Framelits , Swirly Scribbles Thinlits and S unshine Wishes - phew!  A super fun and super easy card to re-create.  And how about that DSP?  Its the "By the Shore" DSP, and it is so pretty in person.  For the "sunshine" word, I first water colored a piece of Thick White cardstock using Crushed Curry and Calypso Coral ink refills before I die cut it out.  I also used tiny pieces of Dimensionals behind it to make it pop- so really that part I guess is not super easy to re-create, but well worth it. :) So now that you have seen my creation, head on over to the Sunday Stamps! challenge blog and c...

Just Add Ink #320

Hello, crafty friends.  Today, I have a shaker card to share with you following the sketch challenge at Just Add Ink. I am having a lot of fun with the Jar of Love Bundle .  For this card, I used Peekaboo Peach and Watermelon Wonder ink for the beautiful flowers, and the stems are stamped in Cucumber Crush.  Peekaboo Peach and Watermelon Wonder look fabulous together.  To create the shaker, I stamped the jar image onto a piece of Window Sheet using Black Stazon ink.  I then die cut out the jar image on the white card front, and taped the stamped window sheet behind it.  We will making a shaker card somewhat similar to this at my Jar of Love Bundle class in August.  Deadline to sign up is July 31, 2016.  Please see my classes/events page HERE for more information. Here's the inspirational picture from  Just Add Ink  that I used to create my card: The sentiment is from the Helping Me Grow stamp set.   Here's a clo...

Sunday Stamps! #131 Color Challenge

Hello, and happy Sunday!  Today starts another challenge at Sunday Stamps! This week we are working with a color challenge.  Here's the challenge: To play along, create a project using at least 3 of the above colors.   Here's what I decided to create using the Best Birds Bundle : All images were stamped in Basic Gray ink and then water colored with my Aqua Painter using the following ink refill colors: So Saffron, Peekaboo Peach, Watermelon Wonder, Pear Pizzazz and Pool Party.  The sun behind the bird is a piece of white card stock die cut into a circle which was then sponged with So Saffron, and Watermelon Wonder ink.  And check out that embossing folder!  It is called Petal Burst . To finish off the card I added a few Peekaboo Peach enamel shapes, some Basic Rhinestones, and a few clear sequins. Best Birds  Birds & Blooms Thinlits Petal Burst Another fun stamp set to add to your wish list!  So now tha...

Sunday Stamps! #130 Seaside Shore

Hello, and happy Sunday! Today, I have a card perfect for a summer birthday to share with you using the NEW Seaside Shore stamp set and the Seaside Embossing folder  .  The card design follows Sunday Stamps! challenge #130. Here's this weeks challenge: Creating a tag on your card front has so many fun possibilities, and I thought the Seaside Shore stamp set would be perfect for this weeks challenge.  Of course, I had to use the new In Colors: Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum, and Dapper Denim as well as Pool Party and Cucumber Crush. Tips: I sponged the Seaside embossing folder lightly with Pool Party ink before running it through my Big Shot.  For the tag, I embossed the vines and bubbles in white  and then colored them with my  Aqua Painter using Cucumber Crush ink for the vines, and Pool Party for the bubbles.  After it dried, I sponged Pool Party ink onto the tag, making it darker at the bottom. Those cute little fish we...
