Happy Sweet 16 to my daughter, Rebecca!

Today is my daughter, Rebecca's Sweet 16th Birthday! I have such fun every year making her birthday card because I always get to use new goodies from the Stampin' UP! catalog! Today's card is no exception.  She only requested that I not make her a "pink" card.  Well, I hope Crisp Cantaloupe is not considered pink to her..... Here's her card:  No need to think of what colors to use...just grab the new Birthday Basics designer series paper ....  and you will be set to go! RECIPE: STAMPS: Cycle Celebration and Memorable Moments INK: Gumball Green and Raspberry Ripple PAPER: Raspberry Ripple, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Crisp Cantaloupe, Very Vanilla and Birthday Basics DSP ACCESSORIES: Crisp Cantaloupe Ruffle Stretch Trim, Stripes EF, Window Frames Framelits, 2 1/2" circle punch, Boho Blossom punch, 7/8" scallop circle punch, Itty Bitty Shapes punch, Decorative Label and Large Oval punch, Brights Candy Dots, Paper piercing tool, mat and guide....

Today I played along with the Freshly Made Sketches No. 91 layout.  It is a very clean and simple layout, and I whipped this card up in a matter of minutes thanks to Stampin' UP!s awesome stamp sets that have matching punches.  Here's the sketch: And here's what I came up with:  Super simple, super cute! A potential Make and Take card. : )   RECIPE: STAMPS: Label Love INK: Raspberry Ripple and Crisp Cantaloupe PAPER: Very Vanilla, Raspberry Ripple and Birthday Basics DSP ACCESSORIES: 3/8" Crisp Cantaloupe Ruffle Stretch Trim (OMG! LOVE THIS STUFF!), Artisan Label and 7/8" scallop circle punches, Basic Pearls and Dimensionals. I am sooo loving the new 3/8" ruffle stretch trim ribbon!  It's so awesome!  Happy Stamping!

Oh, Hello

This is the card that I was talking about in my previous post.  As you can see, the Tea For Two DSP is the same size and placement.  Club ladies had a fun time creating the Baja Breeze flowers on the card using the 1 1/4" and 7/8" scallop circle punches.  We punched out five for each flower and scrunched them up.  We then placed a brad in the middle and scrunched them up some more.  For the final touch, we used a sponge dauber to darken the petals. RECIPE: STAMPS: Oh, Hello INK: Island Indigo, So Saffron and  Whisper White craft PAPER: Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla and Tea For Two DSP ACCESSORIES: Honeycomb EF, Baja Breeze, Old Olive and Island Indigo markers, 1 1/4" and 7/8" scallop circle punches, Occasions Paper-piercing pack, Ovals Collection Framelits, Paper Doilie, Basic Brads, and sponge daubers. I really like how it turned out. I'll have to make more of these. : )  Happy stamping!

Welcome Back to me!

Yep, I've been busy up here in Minnesota with my son's high school graduation party, family visiting and working!  At least I was able to see all the creations being made by fellow stampers with the new goodies from the 2013-2014 Stampin' UP! catalog...which helped me get thru it. : )  Today, I cleaned off my stamping table which consisted of scrapbook papers and pictures of my son, Josh...and put it all away.  What a nice feeling to see my stamping table again! I had a nicely cut piece of  Tea For Two DSP sitting on my desk which was left over from a Make and Take card made back in April ....yep, pretty messy desk...and decided that I would incorporate it into my card creation.  But what to make? I decided on a birthday card for my mother-in-law, Lillian who's birthday is at the end of the month....perfect!  So here's what I made for her 87th birthday:  I believe it is similar to the Make and  Take card that I will share on another post in th...
