Sunday Stamps! #269

Hello to my crafty friends! Today starts a new challenge at Sunday Stamps! and here's what I made using the awesome Peaceful Cabin Bundle (item 156816) . Does this scene not scream peaceful?!  i.e.: a winter morning, the snow lightly falling as the sun comes up and you see the snow glistening in the light on a new blanket of fresh snow on the ground.  Dang! I should write a book! lol I stamped the Cabin image using Memento Black ink and colored it with the Dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blend and the snow shaded areas with a Light  Granite Gray Stampin' Blend.  The trees were partially colored with an Old Olive Stampin' Blend to make it look like snow was hanging on the branches.  To create my background, I used the Blending Brushes with Daffodil Delight ink to create my sun and and Balmy Blue ink to create the sky.  Next, I randomly stamped snowflakes onto my blended sky using Smoky Slate ink. My card follows this weeks new color challenge below. To play ...

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween weekend to all my crafty friends! I hope you have a bootiful Halloween weekend and get to enjoy some fun with family and friends. :)  Here are a few Halloween candy boxes I made using the Frightful Cute Bundle wit the  Tombstone Treat Boxes.    This is the first one I made and sent to my son in college. Of course it had cash in it too. lol I love the die cut elements from the Frightfully Cute Bundle! They made these treat boxes so easy and fun to make. This one I sent to my daughter in North Dakoda: I love that witch - and her nose! lol The next one, I gave to my BF on our coffee date this past week: Isn't kinda gross and cute all at the same time? Okay, maybe a little more gross then cute.  And this one I made for my oldest son.  My kids have been getting hand made cards and packages from me their whole lives!   I am not sure my children understand how cool it is to have a mom who makes all their birthday cards and holiday packag...

Frightfully Cute Full Moon

Hello, and happy Friday! Here is another Halloween creation using the Frightfully Cute Bundle .  For this creation, I had some fun using the Blending Brushes and created a full moon scene using Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black ink.  After heat setting my blending, I embossed the moon image over my orange circle and ta-dah a scary full moon. :) In person, the black ink blending of the sky is darker than portrayed in this photo, but you get the idea. :) When I pulled out this set, I die cut each of the elements from the bundle using the Black Glitter Paper just to see how they looked. It was a no brainer to use the sparkly fence for my full moon scene, so I added 3 of them to make a long fence.   I needed something behind my fence so I hand cut a piece of Basic Black cardstock on one side to create a rolling hills effect and added it behind my sparkly fence. Next, after deciding where to put my embossed sentiment, I stamped 3 bats from the stamp set randomly onto my sky....
