Season of Style: October Paper Pumpkin kit

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I am sharing two samples from the October Paper Pumpkin kit.  The first card is and example of the card following the directions- except that I added a few embellishments from the Carols of Christmas stamp set. I love how easy it was to put this together, and that the colors and theme coordinate with Stampin' UP! colors and accessories.  This way you can add your personal touch to it.  What a fun shaker card to send to someone special.   And here's a photo of the coordinating inside I made: Since I cut the green and black card base in half, I made a second card using one of the sentiments provided in the stamp set of the kit.  I also added die cut images from the coordinating Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies: The results: I will have 20 cards to add to my stash of Christmas cards for this year! Supplies used to create these cards: October Paper Pumpkin Kit, Carols of Christmas Bundle (146037) Thi...

Christmas Quilt

Hello, crafty friends.  We are about to get our first snow of the season!  Snow before Halloween is a "no-no"in my book. But, Mother Nature is in charge, not me. Today's, I am sharing a card I made using the Christmas Quilt Bundle .  I also used the matching Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper and the Quilted Christmas Top Embossing Folder . I love that the DSP matches the stamp set perfectly.  Adding the dry embossing from the Quilt Top Embossing Folder really makes it feel and look like a quilt! Although this bundle is highlighted as a Christmas Bundle in the Holiday Catalog, it most definitely can be used for any occasion.  I recently made a birthday card for a friend using this set with the fun Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack. The center snowflake is from the Trim Your Stocking Thinlits Die .  The sentiment is from the Star of Light stamp set. Card Supplies: Christmas Quilt Bundle (146026), Quilted Christmas 6" x...

Christmas Pines for #SSC164

Welcome back to another new challenge at S unday Stamps! This week we are working with a sketch challenge and here's what I made using the Christmas Pines stamp set and matching Pretty Pines Thinlits. I love the Christmas Pines stamp set , and I am glad it carried over from last year.  It makes great woodsy cards- which I am a big fan of.  Here's this weeks sketch challenge: The plaid design in the Merry Little Christmas DSP  coordinates with this stamp set perfectly. Nothing makes a statement like bold colors like Basic Black and Old Olive.  And don't you just love my whisper white panel? I love the die cut frame you can make from in the Card Front Builder Thinlits .    Christmas Blessings card supplies: Christmas Pines (142049), Pretty Pines Thinlits (141851), Card Front Builder Thinlits (144674) Basic Black, Old Olive and Whisper White cardstock Versamark ink Merry Little Christmas DSP, Gold Foil Sheets, Gold Embossing Powd...

Graceful Rose

Happy Friday!  In Minnesota we are having our "fall break" because of MEA weekend.  This is short for the Minnesota Educator Academy. This is an annual event where schools are closed on the 3rd Thursday and Friday of October every year and teachers can go to a seminar in the cities.  Basically, its a 4 day weekend for families.  Today, I am sharing a card I made using the Graceful Garden stamp set with the beautiful matching DSP called: Petal Garden .  This is a fabulous suite, and you can find all the matching accessories on page 56-57 of the annual catalog. The rose was fussy cut out by hand and I also used a retired oval punch for the sentiment. Card Supplies: Graceful Garden (143849) Thick Whisper White, Whisper White and Pool Party cardstock Memento Black ink Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon, Iridescent Sequins, Calypso Coral and Old Olive Stampin' Blends, Dimensionals, Fine Tip Glue pen. If you missed the October 10th deadline to signup...

Snowflake Sentiments

Hello, and happy Wednesday!  Today, I am sharing one of the cards I made using the Snowflake Sentiments Bundle. Those swirly swirls made with the Silver Foil Sheets make this feel like a whimsical kind of Christmas card, don't you think? :)  They are so fun! Plus, I love the font in this set!  So pretty! You don't need a lot of supplies to make this festive card.  The snowflake strips do all the talkin'. :) Card Supplies: Snowflake Sentiments Bundle (146053) Thick Whisper White and Whisper White cardstock Cherry Cobbler ink Be Merry DSP, Silver Foil Sheets, Rhinestone Jewels Note:  I recommend using the Precision Base Plate for these detailed snowflakes.  If you missed the October 10th deadline to signup for the October Paper Pumpkin, Stampin' UP! is now offering Paper Pumpkin subscribers an opportunity to purchase the October Paper Pumpkin kit starting on October 23, 2017.  NOTE: This offer only qualifies to current and n...

Graceful Garden Sympathy

Hello, crafty friends.  Today's share is a sympathy card I made for a sweet lady I have gotten to know through my  Stampin' UP! business who recently lost her husband.  There is nothing better than to give someone you care about a hand made card. I was experimenting with my Stampin' Blend markers (again) and found that I could color the roses with the Stampin' Blends even though the images were not stamped with Memento Black ink. It worked with the Calypso Coral and Pool party inks, but did not work as well with the Old Olive ink.  NOTE: Stampin' Blends are not intended to be used with "regular" ink colors.  Stampin' UP! recommends that these markers be used with Memento Black ink. However, I am not one to listen to rules when crafting. :)  I colored very lightly and did not try to blend too much.  Warning : do not try this at home....if you do and it does not work- I can not be held liable for ruined craft work. Craft at your own risk! ...

Tiny Treat Box for Halloween

Hello, crafty friends.  Today, I am sharing another Halloween themed project using the Seasonal Chums Bundle along with the Clear Tiny Treat Boxes .  Sorry for the inundation of the pumpkin image from this set. :) To decorate the Clear Tiny Treat Box, I made a belly band using a strip of the Spooky Night DSP along with a strip of Pear Pizza card stock that was punched with the Ticket Tear Border punch . I actually used the pumpkin image as its intended use - A tag!   I stamped the pumpkin on Very Vanilla cardstock and colored him using my new Stampin' Blends markers and then die cut it out.  To finish it off,  I added a bow to the tag it self using a piece of Peekaboo Peach Crinkled Seam Binding.  I also added some leaves using the must have Painted Harvest Bundle. This set makes the cuties tags! On the inside I stamped "trick or treat" which is also from the Seasonal Chums Bundle . A super quick and easy treat box ready for Hal...

Peachy Pumpkin card

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I am sharing a Thanksgiving card I made using lots of different Stampin' UP! products. Here's are some of the fun accessories I used for this card: Card Front Builder Thinlits, Spooky Night DSP, Foil Snowflakes, Leaf Punch, Touch of Nature Elements, Metallic Sequins, Peekaboo Peach Crinkled Seam Binding and Black Bakers Twine. I colored the pumpkin from the Seasonal Chums Bundle using my new Stampin' Blends markers.  This pumpkin was technically a reject for the Halloween card I shared recently, and as I said in my recent Newsletter: don't toss away things that you have colored, embossed, etc that you decide not to use! I find that I will be able to use them in a different way and sometimes I like them even more on a different project- like this one! :) I was experimenting with the Stampin' Blends and colored the pumpkin (top to bottom) with the dark Pumpkin Pie marker followed by light Pumpkin Pie marker and then the dark Da...

Merry Cafe for #SSC163

Hello, and welcome to another challenge at Sunday Stamps!  This week we are working with a color challenge and here's what I made using the Merry Cafe stamp set from the Holiday catalog. Does this card remind you of the game Candy Land? Well, it did to me as I was assembling it.  How funny, right? I think it's because of the large red stripes in the DSP. :) HOWEVER, since this is a festive coffee card, it also reminds me of my favorite winter drink: a Peppermint Mocha. :)   A fun card to make with a simple layout. :) Card Supplies: Half Full stamp set; Thick Whisper White card base, Whisper White, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise and Island Indigo cardstock; Basic Black, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise and Island Indigo ink; Christmas Around the World DSP, Coffee Cups Framelits,Stitched Shapes Framelits, Layering Circle Framelits, Silver 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon, Rhinestones; Here's this weeks color challenge: A fun color challenge t...
