Serene Birthday Wishes

Here's another share I found on my computer.  I love the Serene Silhouettes stamp set.  It was one of the very first stamp sets I purchased from the 2012-2013 Stampin' UP! catalog.  It is very versatile.  It will fit just about any occasion.  Lots of fun stuff used to make this card.  Colors are: Midnight Muse, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla.  Color inspiration came from the strip of designer series paper from the Comfort Cafe collection. Accessories : Delicate Doilies Sizzlits, Argyle Embossing Folder, 1 3/4" circle punch, Bitty Banners Framelits, Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack, Crumb Cake Seam Binding, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals, and small flowers are from the triple flower punch-retired. On a side note: I'm so excited for my daughter, Rebecca! She leaves tomorrow for a fun trip with her fellow high school band members to tour Los Angeles and San Diego, California! She will be participating in a Masters Class and will also be visitin...

Spring Flowers

Long time...no see, I mean long time...no post. : ) Waking up to over a foot of snow and school cancelled again today, it is apparent that we must channel "spring thoughts" or winter will never leave us here in Minnesota! It's nice to have a day off, but not a foot of snow! So this morning I looked for spring themed cards that I have photographed but haven't uploaded to my blog. I love this card. It was a Make and Take for one of my recent classes. Colors are: Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit and Gumball Green. I used a strip of designer series paper from the Print Poetry stack to create the color combination.  I added some stitching on the side and bottom of the card using the Needlepoint Border Embossing Folder- which is one of my favorite accessories right now.  I then carefully rubbed the stitching with White craft ink using a sponge dauber.   Flowers are from the Bloomin' Marvelous stamp set (SAB 2013) and were hand cut and adhered with dimensionals...

Mojo Monday 287

Hello, stampers! Yesterday I made a card following the Mojo Monday 287 sketch.  Here is the sketch layout: And here is the card  I made using the Sycamore DSP as my color inspiration with the All Dressed Up Framelits.  This was my first time using the All Dressed Up Framelits.  Again, I didn't order it right away...boy that was silly of me!  I absolutely love it and can't wait to make all kinds of cool outfits for parties, weddings, and just plain fun. : )  There are soooo many cards out there in blog land - the possibilities are endless!  For some reason I had my mind set on making a long sleeve shirt.  For those that know me, I love ruffles and airy sleeves...so I loved how this turned out.  I colored the Basic Rhinestones with an orange Sharpie marker.
