Love You So....

Last night I made the last card for my club on Tuesday night, and today I made a card with a few of the leftover pieces.  We are making a chalkboard frame card at club tomorrow...(thanks to Becky from Inking Idaho) .  She is talented.  Anyways, I had a leftover Bermuda Bay piece stamped with the Hardwood background stamp after I cut the chalkboard frame in the rectangle shape below.  I still had all my colors out for the club card we are making..so I just used them all again! See, it's okay to leave a messy stamp table. : )   This card is 4 1/2" by 5 1/2".  I made a matching envelope with my envelope punch board.  Very fun and so easy!  Love it. Plus, making a matching envelope really makes the handmade card look even more special.    RECIPE: STAMPS: Geometrical, Hardwood and Petal Parade (SAB) INK: White Craft pad, Strawberry Slush, Crushed Curry, Basic Gray and Onyx Black Versafine PAPER:  Kaleidos...

Dynamic Duos #87: Black Tie Week

Hello, stampers! This weeks challenge at Dynamic Duos is to create a project using Black and Melon Mambo.  The Dessert option is to use umbrellas.   I thought I didn't have any umbrellas, but being a Dynamic Duo designer, I thought I should try to include the dessert option if at all possible. So, I dug thru my tiny stash of stamp sets (ha! ha!) and found one. :)  It happens to be a VERY old stamp set that was also a Sale-a-bration stamp set from way back when.  Here's the challenge: And here's the card I made:   A cheer up buttercup kind of card. : )     RECIPE: STAMPS: Send a Celebration (retired), Geometrical, Petite Petals, Banner Blast (SAB set), and You're Lovely (SAB set) INK : Onyx Black Versafine, Versmark and White craft pad PAPER : Melon Mambo, Basic Black and Whisper White ACCESSORIES : Melon Mambo and Basic Black DSP, White embossing powder, Melon Mambo reinker, Black Watercolor crayon, ...

Dynamic Duos #86: Love You So

It's time for another color challenge at Dynamic Duos!  This week we are back to creations that are "Subtly Yours" using the colors: Pool Party and Pink Pirouette.  Here's the challenge: And here's the card I made.  Don't you just love the Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die?  And how about the DS paper?  I LOVE this years Sale-a-bration paper!  This piece has little Pool Party flowers on it. It's so pretty.  I absolutely love it.   To make the banners, I used the Banners Framelits Dies. The Pink Pirouette banner has not been altered, however I did cut the Pool Party framelit  piece a smidge smaller in width so that I could insert just half of the paper and cut just the banner end out . This way I could make the banner as long as I wanted.  I also cut about 1/4" off each side of it to make it thinner.  After embossing the heart from the Perfect Pennants stamp set, I free hand paper pierced ...

Hello! Long time, no see. Been a busy mom over here, and will be heading out the door in a few minutes to start another hockey adventure/week.  This time we are headed to Fargo, ND.  I just finished packing a make-n-take for the hockey mom's. :)  I made this card real quick last night, and since I haven't posted anything in about a week, thought I would post it real quick.  I used the sketch from PPA188 for the layout of my card. :)   Colors are: Calypso Coral and Crisp Cantaloupe.  DSP paper is Watercolor Wonder from the Occasions Catalog.  Other accessories are: Gold Fancy Foil Vellum, Gold Baker's Twine, Gold Sequin Trim, a Large Basic Pearl, and Scallop Trim Border punch. The flower is made using the new Spiral Flower Die.  Very fun and easy card to make!  Thanks for stopping by! Hello! I have another Cool Kid creation to share with you. :)  And just to let you know, this is the only stamp set I presently have from the new Occasions catalog.   My SU demonstrator preorder arrives tomorrow, and I am dying over here waiting for it to arrive.  I hope this cold weather does not delay it any further!! There are so many beautiful creations being made by fellow demonstrators. :) As for me, I have made two birthday cards, one Valentine card and now a baby card using the Cool Kid stamp set.   I wanted to use the ruffle stretch trim for my baby card, so I chose the colors Coastal Cabana and Pistachio Pudding with Very Vanilla card stock.  A repeat of this card can be made for a girl using Strawberry Slush and Crisp Cantaloupe.  FYI, I love the Alphabet Press embossing folder for baby cards. :)    RECIPE: STAMPS: Cool Kid and That's the Ticket INK: Coastal Cabana and Pistachio Pudding ...
