Beautiful Bunch for You

Hello, crafty friends! Today I am sharing a card I made with some leftover pieces I had from my "Coffee and Cards" get together I had a few weekends ago.  Attendees made a card very similar to this while drinking their favorite coffee beverage from Caribou. It was a very fun and relaxing time! For this card, I added some additional Stampin' UP! products both current and retired: I just LOVE purple and yellow together.  Here Blackberry Bliss and So Saffron make a stunning pair with the Wildflower Fields DSP from Sale-a-bration 2016. I will miss the Beautiful Bunch stamp set and matching Fun Flower punch as they both on the RETIREMENT LIST.  This is a must have set that is offered as a bundle in the catalog- meaning you get 15% when you purchase them together. :)  As you can see, this bundle makes beautiful flowers- hence the name. SSC 125: Thinking of You

Hello, fellow crafty friends. It's Sunday and that means its time for a new challenge at  Sunday Stamps! This week we are working with color.  A pallet of soft colors to choose from. You can use all the colors on your project or at least three.  Here's this weeks challenge: I choose to use all the colors and here's what I came up with: I used the In the Meadow stamp set to create my card.  The mountains were stamped in Lost Lagoon ink and water colored using my aqua painter with Wisteria Wonder and Perfect Plum ink refills. The lake and sky were created with a sponge dauber using Soft Sky and Blushing Bride ink.  When I was satisfied with my sun set, I created the shadows on the lake with my aqua painter and Wisteria Wonder ink.  I kept it simple, not adding any bling- which is relatively hard for me to do. :) Supplies: Stamps:  In the Meadow (140754), Teeny Tiny Wishes (127802) Ink: Lost Lagoon, Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum,...

Lost Without You

Today's card is a Father's Day card, but could also be used as a birthday card.  Most all of the items used to make this card will NOT be carried over to the 2016-2017 Stampin' UP! catalog: the World Traveler textured embossing folder , the  Going Global stamp set,  Black Stampin' embossing powder,  the In Color Lost Lagoon , and the Esstenials Paper Piercing mat . I don't have a lot of guy stamp sets, so I was happy to see this suite on page 39 in the Occasions catalog.  This stamp set has some great words for the great guys in your life.  My dad will be getting this card. :)   Supplies: Stamps : Going Global (140748); Ink: Lost Lagoon and Versamark; Cardstock : Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Lost Lagoon and Silver Foil Sheets; Accessories: World Traveler embossing folder (138289), Going Places DSP Stack (140581), Large Numbers Framelits (140622), 2" Circle punch (133782), Confetti Starts Border punch (135861), Essentials Paper Piercin...

You're Lovely

2015-2016 RETIREMENT LISTS ARE NOW POSTED HERE Today, I am sharing a card stampers made last month at my March Make and Take class  using the It's My Party DSP Stack.  Have I mentioned that I love this paper? Not a lot of stamping on the outside of the card, but we did stamp the flowers from the Botanical Blooms stamp set on the inside.  Did you know that at all my Make and Take classes, you make a complete card and not just a "front".  Why go thru all the trouble to make a beautiful outside, and not complete the inside??  Supplies: Stamps: Botanical Blooms (140757), You're So Lovely (140762); Paper: Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Mint Macaron, and Basic Black; Ink: Basic Black, Mint Macaron, (and Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry on the inside); Accessories : It's My Party DSP Stack (140552),Botanical Builder Framelits (140625), Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder (132174), Baker's Twine Combo Pack (140555), and It's My Party Enamel Dots (1405...

Diva gift set

Happy Friday!  Today, I am sharing a gift bag and matching gift card holder I made using the It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack (140552) .  I love the quantity in this stack. Perfect for my Make and Take classes.  I chose the white side that had random black dots.  I thought pink would really make it pop and especially if I used the awesome Party Pop-Up Thinlits Dies (140620) .  Ended up being a perfect gift for the diva in your life. HA! First picture: the gift bag made with the Gift Bag Punch Board (133774): Next is the matching gift card holder: And here they are together. Just slip the gift card holder into the bag with some candy (preferably dark chocolate for me) and you have a perfect diva gift set! Supplies: Stamps: Party with Cake (140669) Ink : Basic Black, and Versamark Paper : Melon Mambo and Basic Black Accessories :  Gift Bag Punch Board (135862), Party Pop-Up Thinlits Dies (140620), It's My Party DSP Stac...

Sunday Stamps! #124

It's time for another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! This week we have a sketch for you to play along with. This is a great sketch with many fabulous possibilities.  I thought I would work with the "Going Places" product suite found on pages 38-39 of the Occasions catalog.  I have made quite a few masculine cards using the World Traveler Embossing Folder (138289) as well as the earth image in the Going Global stamp set (140748), so I wanted to focus on the other cute sayings in this stamp set.  I ended up making an anniversary card for my husband with a matching gift box (perfect size for a gift card).  I thought the black sky with stars paper from the Going Places DSP (140581) stack would go well with this sentiment.   The matching box is 3.5" by 3.5" and 1" deep.  I used a my retired heart punch to punch out the "lucky stars" sentiment.   Supplies: Stamps: Going Global (140745); Ink: Archival Basic Black; Pa...

Color Throwdown #387

Here's another card I made using the hostess called Silhouettes & Script .  I followed the color challenge this week at Color Throwdown .  Here's my card: Super fun card to make. Colors are: Coastal Cabana (retired), Pumpkin Pie, Real Red and Crushed Curry.  I cut 2 sun rays using the Sunburst Thinlits Die (140617). One in Pumpkin Pie and one with a piece of vellum from the Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack (SAB item).  Although it may be difficult to see, I painted the sun with Clear Wink of Stella ((141897). Sunburst Thinlits Die Silhouettes & Script Hostess Set Here's the challenge at Color Throwdown: April Hostess Code for online shopping rewards: 3DRC7ZUF.   Have a Sunny Day!  See you Sunday for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps !  Till then, happy stamping!

Just add Ink challenge #305

Now that Sale-a-bration is over (insert sad face), I plan to focus on 2015-2016 Hostess stamp sets for a little bit as some haven't seen much ink.  I found the following sketch challenge at Just Add Ink to play along with: I am always in need of sympathy cards, so it was quite easy for me to go with the Hostess stamp set called: Best Thought s  ( page 180 of the annual catalog).  This is such a soft and elegant stamp set. Perfect for water coloring and perfect for making sympathy cards. I stamped the flower 3 times (masked the middle one) in Basic Black ink and then water colored it using Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo ink refills.  I love, love the It's My Party Enamel Dots . I am hoping to see more enamel dots in the new catalog. :) And as you can see, I'm still enjoying my new Curvy Corner punch ! Supplies: Stamps: Best Thoughts (138700); Paper: Whisper White, Melon Mambo and Mint Macaron Envelope Paper (138312); Ink: Archival Basic B...
