Mango Melody Promenade

Today, I am sharing a birthday card I recently made for a friend.  She recently bought the Beautiful Promenade Bundle so I thought it would be fun to make her birthday card with it. :) Because Stampin' UP! introduced new core colors with the release of the annual catalog, I tend to grab those colors first.  Although I am not a big "orange" person, I do enjoy creating wit the color Mango Melody.  It's a bright and cheery color.  You can see one of the first cards I made with this fun color HERE . I used my Stamparatus to stamp the outline flower image using Mango Melody ink and stamped directly onto Mango Melody cardstock.  Next, I used my Basic Black marker to ink the center of the flowers.  I am sure you have watched my very professional video regarding this technique but if you didn't, you can check  it out below:   Stampin' UP! Country Home

Today, I am sharing my first go with the Country Home stamp set.  Now, I will have to clarify that I have used the lovely milk canister in other projects, but this is technically my first play with the set and let me say that it does not disappoint. :) I kept my card pretty simple, using some of the matching suite products found on page 42 -43 of the Holiday Catalog.    This was super quick and easy to color with my Stampin' Blends.  I love that there are new colors in the Holiday Catalog and that they match the Country Lane DSP. I stamped the milk canister on the wood grain design from the Country Lane DSP and hand cut it out.  The flower arrangement was colored with: Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate, Old Olive, Blackberry Bliss and Cajun Craze Stampin' Blends.  I also added a piece of 3/16" Braided Linen Trim to my project for that added country feel.  Of course, the Tin Tile Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is a show stopper all by it sel...

Sunday Stamps! #188

It's Sunday and that means its time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps! .  This week we have a fun sketch for you to play along with created by Lisa.  Here's what I made using the Nothing Sweeter Bundle. I am loving this little Christmas tree image and the matching stitched framelits.  This is a super fun set and is a great addition to add to the Stitched Shapes and Stitched Labels Framelits . To me this card says country Christmas which is right up my ally.  And as you can see, I used the Buffalo Check stamp set yet again. :0  I embossed my images with Copper Embossing powder and added some gold Metallic Pearls to the die cut snowflakes and finished off my card with a piece of Braided Linen Trim . Isn't the stitching on the Shaded Spruce strip adorable?  There are 2 framelits in the Sweetly Stitched Framelits that make a double stitch mark. Here's this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps! A super fun sketch to chall...

Eeek, its Halloween!

Hello, crafty friends, and happy Friday!  Today, I am sharing a Halloween card I made using the September Paper Pumpkin's stamp set which I combined with the Trick or Tweet stamp set. I created my own DSP with the pumpkin and spider image and stamped them randomly onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock. After I was finished creating my background, I decided to use the Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder on a whim.  I'm pretty happy with the effect.  I paired my homemade DSP with the adorable little puppy image from the Trick of Tweet stamp set and added a pumpkin to his mouth.  I love the"eeek" sentiment from the September Paper Pumpkin stamp set.  It looks great embossed in White on Basic Black cardstock. Beautiful Promenade

I finally put the Buffalo Check stamp set away (for a few minutes) and created this card using the Beautiful Promenade Bundle . I made this card for a specific person who has some struggles in her life right now.  There is nothing better than making a handmade card from the heart to send to a special someone in your life. This flower is really just stunning if you ask me.  Here I stamped it with Basic Black and Rich Razzleberry ink.  I also colored it with my Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends. I love the diamond image in the stamp set too. It creates just the perfect amount of detail for a subtle background. Stampin' UP!
