Ridiculously Happy for CTD416

Hello, crafty friends.  Today, I made a birthday card for a friend and followed color challenge no. 416 at Color Throwdown.   Here's their challenge: The colors listed for the challenge are: Cranberry, Dark Teal, Peach and Kraft.  Here's what I made using: Cherry Cobbler, Island Indigo, Peekaboo Peach and Crumb Cake: I used the Love & Affection stamp set and water colored the larger flowers using Peakaboo Peach and Cherry Cobbler ink refills with my Aqua painter.  I used "thick" white card stock, as it can handle water coloring pretty well. Supplies: stamps : Love & Affection ink: Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Island Indigo, Peakaboo Peach and Crumb Cake card stock : Peakaboo Peach, Crumb Cake and Thick Whisper White accessories : Island Indigo and Peakaboo Color Enamel Shaper, Clear Wink of Stella, Adorning Accents Edgelits (retired) and Island Indigo ribbon (retired). Who doesn't like to get flowers, right??  Than...

Sunday Stamps! #138 Christmas Wonderland

Hello, crafty friends.  Thanks for stopping by today.  We have a new sketch challenge for you to play along with at Sunday Stamps!  Here's this weeks challenge:  SSC#138 And here's what I made using the Santa's Sleigh stamp set and matching Santa' Sleigh Framelits Bundle .  I think of it as a "Christmas Wonderland" :) I have been having a lot of fun creating with the This Christmas Specialty DSP .  Here's three reasons why: 1.  There are 4 sheets of each double sided design for a grand total of 24 sheets;  2.  It's thin, so I can easily layer without making a bulky card; and 3.  No In Colors- just traditional colors: Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and Vanilla (although I think Mint Macron goes well with a few of the designs like this one). Here's the Supplies I used to create this card:  Santa's Sleigh stamp set and Framelits Bundle, Star of Light stamp set, Garden Green card stock, Cherry Cobbler card stock...

Greetings from Santa

Hello, crafty friends.  I have to let you know that the last several months have been challenging for me, and as a result, my stamping had to take a back seat.  Things seem to be "back to normal" and I am grateful to have made it through it.  Sadly, I am still grieving over the loss of my best friend- my dog, Riley.  I recently had to put him down as he had been sick, and I am still adjusting to his absence. :( The card I made to share with you today is from the Greetings from Santa Bundle (#143524). I recently used up my Sweet Sugarplum Glitter Ribbon from the 3/ 8" Glitter Ribbon Combo Pack at my Holiday Make and Take class, but I haven't really touch the silver ribbon, so that was my focus. Supplies:  Greetings from Santa Bundle, Real Red Card stock, Whisper White Card stock, Candy Cane Lane DSP, 3/8" Silver Glitter Ribbon, Silver Glimmer Paper, Versamark, Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder, Fine Tip Glue Pen, Dimensionals. This card actual...

I just love this little mummy.  I think he looks so cute with those little black eyes which were made using the matching Cookie Cutter Builder punch   and Basic Black card stock.
