Seasons Greetings with Paper Pumpkin

Today, I am sharing a fun Christmas card I made using the  October and November Paper Pumpkin kit stamp sets: I just love the little tree image in the November Paper Pumpkin kit and knew right away that it would make a great scene for the deer in the Carol of Christmas Bundle to stand in front of. I used my Pool Party Stampin' Blends to create the sky.  The white embossed snowflakes and sentiment are from the October Paper Pumpkin stamp set. Card Supplies: October and November Paper Pumpkin stamp sets, Carols of Christmas Bundle Thick Whisper White, Old Olive and Whisper White cardstock Early Espresso and Old Olive stamp pads Pool Party Stampin' Blends, Pear Pizzazz 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon, Versamark, White Embossing Powder and Rhinestones. Did you know that the Paper Pumpkin kit makes a great Christmas gift?  I have purchased several prepaid subscriptions over the past couple of years and gave them as Christmas gifts to several family members wh...

Remarkable You! and FREE Shipping Cyber Monday!

Today, I am sharing a birthday card I made for a close friend- who also stamps with me, and since she has already received it,  it's safe to share it here now. :) Are you ready to hear that I colored this using my Stampin' Blends?  Yep, it's true. I can't stop coloring and this flower from the Remarkable You stamp set is PERFECT for coloring with the Stampin' Blends.   Two of the flowers were colored with the light and dark Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends, and the other flower was colored with the light and dark Night of Navy Blends. After I was finished coloring them, I cut them out. The background was created using the dotted circle image from the Eastern Beauty stamp set and then "flicking" water droplets onto the cardstock using my Aqua Painter mixed with Rich Razzleberry ink. The sentiment was embossed in gold, and I added 3 Gold Metallic Enamel Shapes to finish it off.  Since the flowers are the showcase, not a lot of extra em...

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello, crafty friends! With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I want to wish all of you a very blessed 2017 Thanksgiving with safe travels while you make happy memories with family and friends.  Which you are going to scrapbook when you get back, right?  Ha-Ha!  Aren't I funny?  Seriously, at our home we will be taking our annual family photo for my hand made Christmas cards, and if I can get that accomplished- that's sayin' something- do you know what I mean? Here is one of the cards I made for this years Thanksgiving celebration: This card came about because of my obsession of coloring with the new Stampin' Blends. I was experimenting with the Stampin' Blends trying to see what they would look like just colored and not worrying about blending them together. :) I used 4 different stamp sets to create my Thanksgiving card: Vintage Leaves, Painted Harvest (sentiment), Timeless Textures (splatter and coffee rings), and  lastly the Watercolor W...

Eastern Beauty for #SSC166

Hello, crafty friends.  Today's card features the Eastern Beauty Bundle colored with Stampin' Blends following Sunday Stamps! new sketch challenge. Now that we have Stampin' Blends, I can't stop coloring!  I went through all of my stamp sets, and decided it would be fun to color the flower images in the very cool and stunning stamp set called Eastern Beauty .  After embossing the three flowers with Gold Embossing powder, I colored them with Pool Party and Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends. The gold foil leaves are from the Flourishing Framelits and match perfectly with the Eastern Beauty flowers.  The congratulations sentiment is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.  I have always loved the Bundle of Love Specialty DSP with the gold embossing on the paper, and actually used it instead of hoarding it. :) Here's this weeks sketch challenge at Sunday Stamps! : Card Supplies: Eastern Beauty Bundle ( 145308 ), Flourish Thinlits ( 141478 ), ...

From our Family to Yours

What is more festive than gold snowflakes surrounded in gold designer series paper and gold embossing?  Today's card showcases the Winter Wonder Embossing Folder with the Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape and Designer Series paper. I have to admit that I made this card on the same day as my challenge card for Sunday Stamps! last week.  I basically used the same layout as my Seasonal Chums cards HERE . Remember, you don't have to recreate the wheel every time you sit down to make a card. I really love all the gold accessories in the Year of Cheer Suite of the Holiday Catalog.  I am excited to make a bunch of these for Christmas cards this year. Card Supplies: Snowflake Sentiments Bundle (144820) Thick Whisper White cardstock, Whisper White cardstock Stitched Shapes Framelits, Winter Wonder Embossing Folder, Gold Foil Sheets, Year of Cheer DSP, Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape, Rhinestones Place an order of $40 using my November Host Code: M3MJFJSZ...

Celebrate the season with snowflakes

Hello, crafty friends!  Today's card share is from the Colorful Seasons Bundle in the annual catalog.  I love that there are 3 different sized snowflake dies to go along with the 3 different snowflake stamp images.  As a result, you can whip up this card in a matter of minutes. I used a piece of Color Theory Designer Series Paper for the background for my snow scene.  Die cut snowflake colors  are: Dapper Denim, Soft Sky and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper. The little round snowflake (see black arrow in photo) has a dual use.  It can be used as a snowflake as I have done here, but it can also be used as a lemon slice in the for drink image in the stamp set. The sliver embossed sentiment is from the Tags & Trimmings stamp set.  I also added some White Perfect Accents to each die cut snowflake. Orders of at least $40 using my November Host Code: M3MJFJSZ  will receive the Winter Wonder Textured Embossing Folder as my thank y...

Christmas Blessings Quilt

Today, I am flying to Salt Lake City with fellow Demonstrators to attend the annual Onstage convention for Stampin' UP!.  I haven't been to convention in many years so I am super excited and grateful to be able to go this year!   Today, I am sharing another take on the Christmas Quilt Bundle. This is the second Christmas Quilt card I made using the leftover pieces of designer series paper and cardstock I had from the Christmas Quilt card that I shared in this POST .  As I was telling my stamping friends at last months class, the more colors you add to your "quilt", the more quilt cards you can make.  For instance, I die cut 3 different designs of DSP and then made 3 different looking quilt cards with all the die cut pieces.  So this is the second, and I will have one more to share at a later date. I really like adding the Quilt Top Embossing Folder to a piece of DSP.  It actually makes it look like the pa...

Seasonal Chums for #SSC165

Hello, and happy Sunday!  Once again it's time for another challenge at Sunday Stamps !  This week we have a bright and bold color challenge for you to play along with.   Although I used the sketch colors, my card turned out having a lot of white space due to not wanting to cover up any of the Winter Wonder Embossing Folder. Here's what I made using the fun Seasonal Chums Bundle : Stampin' UP! Colors I used for this weeks challenge are:  Berry Burst, Basic Black, Night of Navy, and Always Artichoke. Here's the color challenge at Sunday Stamps ! For this challenge, I used my markers to color the cute little snowman.  The Black Jewel Rhinestones  turned out to be a perfect accent for the snowman too. To make it a little more festive, I added some Clear Wink of Stella to his hat, mitten and scarf.  I also added Clear Wink of Stella to the cute bunny- although you can not see it in the photo. Card Supplies: Seasonal...

Hello, crafty friends.  Today, I am sharing a card I made using the Merry Little Christmas DSP with the framelits from the Christmas Quilt Bundle. I love how it turned out! The patterns in the DSP really make this a woodsy card.  Card Supplies: Quilt Builder Framelits, Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits, Merry Little Christmas DSP, Basic Black cardstock, Gold Foil Sheets, Basic Black 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon, Black Rhinestone Jewel. Not a lot of supplies need to create this fun card! Thanks for stopping by today.  Happy Stamping!
