#SSC169 Beautiful Friend

Happy Sunday, and Happy New Years Eve! I can hardly believe we are entering another new year! Where does the time go?? Today, I am sharing another Sale-a-bration item you can earn for FREE with a $50 order starting on January 3, 2017, called Beautiful Peacock.   It's photopolymer and contains 12 stamps.  Five of the stamps are various shaped flowers which are perfect to add color and dimension to the peacock's feathers.  I made this following the new color challenge at Sunday Stamps! There are 3 different feather cluster images in the set that you can use to stamp with the peacock.  I love the trailing tail of this one.  I can't wait to try out all of them with various color schemes. :) Here's this weeks sketch challenge: Looking at the photo and the color swatches below it, pick a minimum of 3 colors to play along.  I choose Calypso Coral, Night of Navy and Crumb Cake as my color pallet. Sale-a-bration: Party Panda

Hello, crafty friends!  I've been busy enjoying the Christmas break with my kiddos before they head back to their respective colleges and in my spare moments, I have been creating projects for upcoming classes using new goodies from the Occasions catalog.  Today, I am sharing a card using the ever so adorable Sale-a-bration stamp set called Party Pandas .  You will be able to earn this stamp set for FREE with a $50 order starting January 3, 2018. Isn't he adorable? And he's super easy to cut out and pop up with Dimensionals as I have done here. I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then highlighted the white edges of the Panda using the light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blend. I also used a new embossing folder called Simple Stripes which is part of the Picture Perfect Party Suite found on page 4-5 on the Occasions Catalog. You will be able to start ordering from the new Occasions Catalog starting on Wednesday, January 3, 2018!  It's...

Merry Christmas!

It's Christmas, and I hope you have a fabulous day celebrating with family and friends! This is my last Christmas share for the year.  This is a pocket type Christmas card using the Snowflake Sentiments Bundle.  Tomorrow is the last day you can register for my Stampin Blends Class.  I only have a few seats remaining.  Details are HERE . Happy joyous Christmas! May each one of us share love, hope and joy during this blessed holiday season to all those around us. :)

Tags & Trimmings Bundle

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I am sharing another Holiday Catalog favorite of mine that is retiring: the Tags & Trimmings Bundle . The stocking on the left hand side (dressed in gold) was made into a gift card holder as provided in the thinlits dies set.  I made the other stocking into a real stocking by cutting 2 sock panels and then adhering them together.  You can still add cash, or a candy cane as I have done here.  Both versions would be great as an ornament, or even a tag on a package. Can you believe tomorrow is Christmas Ever? EEK! Where did the year go? THINGS TO REMEMBER: Stampin' UP! has added new items to the  Clearance Rack !  Check it out  HERE! Place a qualifying order using my December Host Code and receive an assortment of  Fresh Florals DSP  along with the matching  1/2" Woven Ribbon !  Details are  HERE The deadline to register for  My Stampin' Blends Class #2  is  December 26, 2...

November Paper Pumpkin Kit

Hello, crafty friends. I have a quick share for you today.  I am sure you have seen this adorable stocking from the November Paper Pumpkin kit. I only made a few of the stockings for a few of our neighbors  and will save the rest for the next Christmas. :)  It's the perfect size for a gift card, candy and a candy cane (well, that's what I put in mine anyways).  I used a small piece of Cherry Cobbler Stitched Ribbon to create a hook at the top of the stocking so that it can be displayed as an ornament on the tree. :) THINGS TO REMEMBER: Stampin' UP! has added new items to the  Clearance Rack !  Check it out  HERE! Place a qualifying order using my December Host Code and receive an assortment of  Fresh Florals DSP  along with the matching  1/2" Woven Ribbon !  Details are  HERE The deadline to register for  My Stampin' Blends Class #2  is  December 26, 2017 . Christmas wine tag

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I am sharing a wine tag I made for a Christmas gift using the Carols of Christmas Bundle and the Merry Little Labels stamp set. One of my favorite sets in the Holiday Catalog is the Carols of Christmas Bundle .  The images are so easy to die cut and can be used for masculine or sympathy cards as well.  A very versatile Bundle. I love that Stampin' UP! puts together product suites so you don't have to figure out what colors or papers to use with a set.  The Merry Little Christmas DSP works perfectly with both the Carols of Christmas Bundle and the Merry Little Labels Bundle.  My favorite is this gingham design! It is hard to tell in the photo, but I punched 2 holes on the sides of the tag (about an inch or so down from the top) on a score line I made to secure the Silver Tinsel Trim.   After inserting the Silver Tinsel Trim into the punched out holes, I just folded the tag over on the back side and tapped it clo...

Snowflake Sentiments

Hello, crafty friends. I hope you are just about ready for Christmas! I'm still working on it, and still need to make some more cookies ;) but today I want to share another Christmas card I made using the Snowflake Sentiments Bundle . The bundle itself will retire on January 3, 2018, but the stamp set and matching framelits will carry over to the next annual catalog. I used a piece of the Around the World DSP (that has white and Pool Party snowflakes on a Basic Gray background) as my color inspiration.  I also used a piece of Silver Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape in place of ribbon.  I love the sentiments in this set!  They are great for both the inside and outside of your handmade Christmas card.  I used the sentiments for many of the Christmas cards I made this year. Again, the stamp set and famelits are carrying over, but you will no longer be able to save 10% by purchasing it as a bundle after January 3rd.   See the other Christma...

Sneak Peak of Cake Soiree for #SSC168

Hello, and happy Sunday! I am finally finished with all of my Christmas crafting and can now move onto new goodies from the Occasions Catalog! Yippee!  Here's my first take at the beautiful  Cake Soiree Bundle following the new sketch challenge at Sunday Stamps! Don't you just love this DSP?  It's the new Painted with Love Specialty DSP from the Painted with Love Suite found on pages 18 and 19 of the new and upcoming Occasions Catalog. I used a combination of Stampin' Blends and Stampin' Markers to color the floral images of the gold embossed cake.  I also used another new and fun accessory item found in the Painted with Love Suite called Painted Love Gold Vinyl Stickers (the 3 hearts and 3 dots on each side of the "celebrate" sentiment). Card Supplies: Cake Soiree Bundle (available 1/3/18) Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo and Powder Pink cardstock Versamark ink, Rich Razzleberry, Pink Piro...

Santa's Sleigh

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I have another fun Christmas card I made using the Santa's Sleigh stamp set and coordinating Santa's Sleigh Thinlits Dies. I wanted to show off the beautiful trees in the snow, so I made this into an easel card.  I used my Stampin' Blends to color the Christmas scene and the little present. The card base is Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I stamped 2 trees directly onto a piece of Whisper White card stock and added the center tree using Dimensionals. Super fun to color with the Stampin' Blends.  Colors are: Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, and Crumb Cake Combo Packs.  I also used the Color Lifter on some of the tips of the branches. Here's how it looks when you fold it up for mailing. Card Supplies: Santa's Sleigh (142057) , Santa's Sleigh Thinlits Dies (140278) ,  Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Basic Black and Cherry Cobbler cardstock; Memento Tuxedo Black Pad (132708), Old Olive and Cherry...

Peace on Earth

Hello, and happy Saturday!  Today, I am sharing another Christmas card I made using the Carols of Christmas Bundle .  Because this was an early release before the Holiday Catalog came out, about half of my Christmas cards are made using this bundle. I love the woodsy feel this bundle gives, and the fact that it looks good in just about any color combination! I stamped the doted star image randomly using Early Espresso ink onto a piece of Early Espresso cardstock before die cutting the poinsettia cutouts images from the framelits on the corners.  No embossing for this one. I tried to keep a rustic feel to it stamping with only Early Espresso and a little bit of Old Olive ink. I love how the Carols of Christmas Bundle work so well with the Christmas Pines stamp set and Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies .  They really do a good job complimenting each other.  The Christmas Carols Bundle is on the Year End Sale. Card Supplies: Carols of Christmas Bu...

Graceful Garden Birthday

Hello, crafty friends. I have another birthday card to share with you using the Graceful Garden stamp set.  I had lots of birthdays in November and another celebration in early December.  The recipient has this stamp set, so of course I had to make her birthday card using it for her to have another sample. :) I used the same technique for the background as I did for THIS card, stamping the Eastern Beauty dotted circle image randomly on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and then using my Aqua Painter to splatter ink droplets onto it. I embossed the flower in Gold, and colored it using the Bermuda Bay and Old Olive Stampin' Blends Combo Pack.  The flower was fussy cut out, and adhered with Dimensionals.  I added some Wink of Stella to the petals, but I was not able to capture the sparkle in the photo.  To finish it off, I added some Gold Metallic Shapes. Card Supplies: Graceful Garden, Eastern Beauty and Hardwood stamp sets; Thick Very V...
