AESTAMPS A LATTE

Today, I played along with two challenges.  I used the sketch for Mojo Monday #312 with the Dynamic Duos #71's color combination of Crumb Cake and Basic Black.  Here are the challenges:   And here's what I came up with: RECIPE: STAMPS: Regarding Dahlias INK:  Basic Black, Crumb Cake and Whisper White craft PAPER: Basic Black Textured, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake DSP ACCESSORIES: Delicate Doilies Sizzlits, 1 3/4" circle punch and Black Rhinestones. I made this card for a dear friend of mine who is going through some difficult times right now.  Last week she lost her brother, while she and her family are dealing with her father's terminal cancer. My heart breaks for her and her family. :( I used the colors from the paper players color challenge #158 which consists of Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe and Pear Pizzazz. Wish I was in a better mood to post this.  Prayers going out to my friend, Lisa.  May God give her strength during this very difficult time.

Regarding Dahlias ( here ) was one of the first stamp sets I purchased from the new SU catalog.  I made this card while we vacationed over the July 4th week at our cabin.  I water colored the flower image using my aqua painter with Baked Brown Sugar and Daffodil Delight reinkers.  I didn't have water color paper with me, but I think it still turned out pretty good.  What do you think?  I sponged White Craft ink using a sponge dauber onto the  Needlepoint Border embossed piece of Baked Brown Sugar to the left of the flower.  A fun wedding card.
