Spring Flowers

Long time...no see, I mean long time...no post. : ) Waking up to over a foot of snow and school cancelled again today, it is apparent that we must channel "spring thoughts" or winter will never leave us here in Minnesota! It's nice to have a day off, but not a foot of snow! So this morning I looked for spring themed cards that I have photographed but haven't uploaded to my blog. I love this card. It was a Make and Take for one of my recent classes. Colors are: Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit and Gumball Green. I used a strip of designer series paper from the Print Poetry stack to create the color combination.  I added some stitching on the side and bottom of the card using the Needlepoint Border Embossing Folder- which is one of my favorite accessories right now.  I then carefully rubbed the stitching with White craft ink using a sponge dauber.   Flowers are from the Bloomin' Marvelous stamp set (SAB 2013) and were hand cut and adhered with dimensionals...

Last Day to Sale-a-brate! :(

It's the last day of Sale-a-bration!!!  OMG!  I have been having so much fun with this years FREE stampin' goodies!  How about you?  Today, in honor of the last day to sale-a-brate, I am sharing two cards made with the Feeling Sentimental stamp set.  I will be honest with you and tell you that at first glance of this set, I wasn't sure if I would like it. WRONG!!!  With all the beautiful samples out there by fellow stampers...it joined my ever expanding/changing "must have" list. : ) I love, love, love this card!!!!  It goes right into my favorites.  Basic Gray ink on Very Vanilla card stock is absolutely lovely!  Sponging Basic Gray onto the Labels Collection Framelit shape along with paper piercing makes it soft and elegant.  The 2nd card here is very similar except I added the Chevron Embossing folder and take a look at the "Happy Birthday".  Do you know where it comes from???  If you said the That's the Ticket sta...

Mojo Monday 283 (on Friday)

Today I played along with the Mojo Monday 283 sketch. I used the Print Poetry DSP as my color pallet and found a beautiful piece of of DSP from the Patio Party collection to add to it (the Summer Starfruit base). click HERE to see the sketch layout. I used lots of fun Stampin' UP! goodies to create this card.  It was so nice to not have to cut anything out for this card.  If the stamp set has a matching die or a matching punch...consider it a must have-for me! : ) Although you can purchase items from the Spring Mini catalog until May 31, 2013, if you want to get FREE saleabration goodies like the very unique and classy stamp set that I used here called Feeling Sentimental , you must place your order with me before March 22nd!  Don't miss out on FREE goodies!!  Contact me today! Quilt card

This is a quilt card I made back in January at my up line's (Chris Smith) home.  I added the embossed flower using  the Daydream Medallions stamp set along with the SAB stamp set Madison Avenue .  These two stamp sets work well together.  The flower petals were made with  the Floral Frames Framelits die.  I will probably store these two sets together. : )  Recipe: Daydream Medallions, Madison Avenue (SAB) and Vintage Verses (SAB) stamp sets; Sycamore Street DSP (SAB), Island Indigo and Tangerine Tango card stock; Island Indigo, Versa Mark pad inks; White Emb. powder, Floral Frames Framelits, Postage Stamp punch, Square Lattice Emb. Folder, Pool Party SAB button and Whisper White Bakers Twine. Enjoy your day!  I have limited time to create my youngest child's birthday card...which is tomorrow!  Happy Stamping, and hope you get to stamp a latte!

Amazing Sister card

Hello!  I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend.  Mine was filled with hockey and sleepovers. : ) This weekend we are heading up north for a weekend long hockey tournament.  Should be a lot of fun - even if we don't win...parents will actually get to socialize! Woo-Who! Here's a card I made a while back.  I'm not very good at taking pictures and getting them onto my blog in a timely fashion....but hey, I'm doing it now! : )  I love how it turned out...and will case the layout for the other word choices in the Amazing Family stamp set .  Obviously I will use masculine paper for the brother/father cards. : )  Supplies used: Amazing Family and Madison Avenue (SAB) stamp sets; River Rock, Pool Party, Whisper White card stock and Sycamore Street DSP (SAB) Stazon Black, Pool Party, River Rock and Rich Razzleberry ink; Window Frames Framelits, Festive Paper-piercing template,  Tasteful Trim Bigz Die, Little Leaves Sizzlits, Floral Frames...

Mojo Monday

Yes, I have been gone a LONG, LONG time....I, unfortunately caught the crud that is going around after substitute teaching right after Christmas break.  I still am grabbing tissues, although it is less every day.  Two weeks sick and still counting.  I also made time to visit  my upline: Chris Smith; AKA "inkpad" on splitcoast and AKA "from my ink pad to yours" blog.  We had a blast visiting ( Liz, you are such a hoot!) and making new cards with new goodies.  Lastly, my hubby and I escaped for a "date" on Saturday night and we drove to Duluth, MN to see Foreigner in the 5th row.  A very fun time. OK....so now we are up to date and here is my card for Mojo Monday #277.  Mary Fish's card was my inspiration.   RECIPE: stamps: Hearts a Flutter and Patterend Occasions paper: Raspberry Ripple, Early Espresso, Print Poetry DSP, and Early  Espresso Core'dinations card stock ink: Raspberry  Ripple, Early Espresso and Versa Mark...
