Happiest Birthday wishes to my daughter!

Hello, stamping friends! Today my little girl is seventeen! UG! I can barely believe it! It seems like it was just yesterday I was holding her in my arms. Okay, that's an exaggeration, but time sure is flying by!  Super busy week here, but I had to share the card I made for her using my new catalog goodies.  I wish I could show you the inside. It's kinda like the "candy bar" birthday card notes people make, except I used  stamps, punches and gift cards to create mine.  Anyway, here's what it looks like on the outside: Here are the supplies I used: Dotty Angles Photopolymer Stamp Set $15.95 Big News Clear-Mount Stamp Set $31.95 Something To Say Clear-Mount Stamp Set $21.95 Labels Collection Framelits Die $26.95 Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack $16.95 Silver Glimmer Paper $4.95 Hello Honey 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock $6.95 Real Red 8-1/2" X 11" Card Stock $6.95 Calypso Coral 8-...

Photopolymer Happy Birthday!

Hello, stampers. I received my Stampin' UP! order last night! Yippee! So, this morning while it rained, I played with some of my new goodies.  Four of them to be a matter of fact.  To get some inspirational help, I followed the color challenge Just Add Ink #219 .    Here's the challenge: And here's my card:   I used two new photopolymer stamp sets called: Age Awareness and Borderettes.  These are the very first photopolymer stamps I have bought from SU. The other two new SU goodies I used are the Tiny Triangles embossing folder and Smokey Slate 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon . Photopolymer stamp sets are so cool because you do NOT have to use a stampa-ma-jig to line up images! I added the row of triangles from the Borderettes stamp set above and below the "happy birthday" phrase without using my stampa-ma-jig.  How cool is that?   Colors are: Basic Black, Crushed Curry and Smokey  Slate. I also colored around the "happy birthday" ...

For the Newlyweds

Hello! Summer is in full swing at our home and I am stopping by to show you a card I made last summer (ha!) before I get it in the mail today. This card uses Easter Elegance DSP which is now retired.  If you still have this pack of paper, and are looking for a good use for it....try wedding and/or anniversary cards. : ) Here's my wedding card:  I stamped the flower image from the  Regarding Dahlias  stamp set in Crushed Curry and then used a sponge dauber to sponge color on it. After assembly of my card, I added some Dazzling Details to give it and the butterflies some sparkle. Here is a picture of the inside of the card. I had already added a note and signature before I decided to take a picture of it, so I did not photograph it completely, but you can see part of it on the right side as well as the cute money holder I made using the Scalloped Envelope Bigz Die that is also retired.  See, this paper rocks for wedding and /or anniversary cards! Well, ...

PP#199 and SC#491: Father's Day card

Hello! Long time no stamp!  My husband bought a new fishing boat and he was determined that I fish in it as soon as possible so that I could "see" how awesome it is in the hopes that I will start wanting to fish 24-7 as he likes to. Hmmm, not sure that will happen, but it was nice to get away. The Canadian weather was beautiful and I did catch quite a few fish! Today, I was having withdrawals from stamping so I squeezed in a card late this afternoon and ended up taking a picture of it outside. I used Paper Players #199 color challenge along with Splitcoast Stampers sketch challenge #491 to create my Father's Day card I made for my dad.  Here are the challenges (note the picture for SC#491 was so tiny and I tried to enlarge it so thats why its blurry):                               And here's my card: Believe it or not, I have NOT placed my first order from the new 2014-2015 catalog! I usually t...
