Be Still for Sunday Stamps! #149

Hello, crafty friends. Today's card was created for the new color challenge at Sunday Stamps!  It was so fun to finally use this cool sentiment from the Sending Thoughts stamp set set. To create the subtle background, I color washed Mint Macaron and Wisteria Wonder ink onto a piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock using a large paint brush and dried it with my heat tool.   The colors I used for this weeks challenge are: Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder, Mint Macaron and Garden Green.  Here's this weeks challenge: I tried to keep my card simple and let the Oh So Succulent flowers do all the talking. :) Be Still card supplies: stamps:  Oh So Succulent Bundle (145184), Sending Thoughts (142965), Dragonfly Dreams Bundle (144728) ink: Basic Black, Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder, Mint Macaron, Garden Green and Daffodil Delight. card stock: Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder and Daffodil Delight. accessories: Elega...

Inside the Lines for Just Add Ink #352

Hello, crafty friends. Happy Friday!  Today, I am sharing a card I made following the color challenge at Just Add Ink using the Inside the Lines DSP from Sale-a-bratoin. Flirty Flamingo was not cooperative in picture taking today.  This was made using Flirty Flamingo, Smoky Slate and Tempting Turquoise. I water colored the DSP using my ink refills and an Aqua Painter.  I then went back over the flowers with a Flirty Flamingo marker.  The sentiment is from the Crazy About You stamp set and Hello You Thinlits. Here's Just Add Ink's color challenge this week: I used the Foam Brayer to create the ombre look using Tempting Turquoise ink for the "HAPPY" die cut.  I outlined all of the flowers with a wash of Smoky Slate ink as well. I was thinking of Florida and Flamingo's the whole time I was coloring this!  Unfortunately, I am here where it's windy, gloomy and cold! Praying for the sunshine to come back again in time for the weekend.  :...

March 2017 Paper Pumpkin

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I am sharing some cute little 3 x 3 cards I made using the March Paper Pumpkin kit.  This month's kit creates nine 3 x 3 note cards in 3 different patterns and nine bunny treat bag holders.  I made 3 of the note cards in each of the colors to share with you today. I kept the creation of these cute cards close to the actual directions in the kit, but I added some 3D effects with circle punches and Dimesionals.   Let me show you each one and give some more details: For this little Easter bunny, I added the provided stickers to his ears, and matched the sentiment and Peekaboo Peach twine to the side as stated in the directions.  I used the 1 1/2" circle punch to create his face and snipped out his ears and bow tie.  All were adhered using Dimensionals.  I created his eyes using the Cookie Cutter Builder punch . :) For the next Easter bunny "girl", I stamped the whiskers to give her eye lashes and added a bow from...

Sweet Sugarplum Wahoo!

Here is another card I made using the Birthday Blast Bundle .  This time I actually die cut into the base of the card front using the Star Blast Framelits and then added a Sweet Sugarplum Glimmer layer on top of it. And here's the inside.  I added a pocket to the bottom for cash or a gift card.  Club ladies made a similar Birthday Blast card but the inside sentiment was a "pocket" to pull out in order to see the birthday message and gift card.  I shared this card with them to show an alternative way to use the Star Blast Edgelit with exact same layout.
