March 2017 Paper Pumpkin

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I am sharing some cute little 3 x 3 cards I made using the March Paper Pumpkin kit.  This month's kit creates nine 3 x 3 note cards in 3 different patterns and nine bunny treat bag holders.  I made 3 of the note cards in each of the colors to share with you today.

I kept the creation of these cute cards close to the actual directions in the kit, but I added some 3D effects with circle punches and Dimesionals.

Let me show you each one and give some more details:

For this little Easter bunny, I added the provided stickers to his ears, and matched the sentiment and Peekaboo Peach twine to the side as stated in the directions.  I used the 1 1/2" circle punch to create his face and snipped out his ears and bow tie.  All were adhered using Dimensionals.  I created his eyes using the Cookie Cutter Builder punch. :)

For the next Easter bunny "girl", I stamped the whiskers to give her eye lashes and added a bow from the Cookie Cutter Christmas Christmas stamp set to her ear.  The insides of her ears were colored using a Sweet Sugarplum marker.  I also sponged in Sweet Sugarplum ink onto her cheeks.  Again, I used the 1 1/2" circle punch to create head, and Cookie Cutter Builder punch to create her eyes.

For the last card,  I basically did the same thing as stated above, except this time, I water colored Peekaboo Peach into his ears and sponged Peekaboo Peach into his checks.

Here they are lined up.  Aren't they cute?

Thanks for stopping by today. Happy Stamping!

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
