Bridal Shower invites

Hello! Today, I would like to share with you what I have been working on during the Christmas break. In my spare moments, I have been making bridal shower invitations for my husband's niece.  We do not live close to any of our family, and as a result, we don't get to see them as much as we would like. But, I can contribute my love of stamping to her. :)  The bride to be was popped the big question while vacationing with the groom to be in Paris.  As a result, she is planning a Paris themed wedding with the colors of gray, peach, pink and gold.  How perfect was it for me that Stampin' UP! came out with the Follow My Heart stamp set just in time for me to make her invites? Yippee! Without further delay, here is what I made: I chose Smokey Slate, Blushing Bride, Primrose Petals and Very Vanilla for my card colors.  There is a lot of embossing and sponging going on here!  First, I embossed the tower ...

Dynanic Duos #84: "Black Tie" week

Hello, and happy Saturday!!! It's time for another fun color challenge at Dynamic Duos! It's Black Tie week and we are looking for crafty creations using Cherry Cobbler and  Black.  And to make it more festive, the dessert option is to add some "sparkle".  Here's the challenge:   And here's what I made. It was such a fun project to make! This gift card holder was inspired by Julie Davidson.  I did change the size of mine to make it a little bit bigger). A close up of jolly Santa....:) And here is what it looks like when you open the gift box.  I also made a matching envelope. :) I cut a Velcro closure in 1/2 and used it to keep it closed. Dynamic Duos: #83 Marina MIst and Crumb Cake

Hello! It's Saturday and you know what that means.....right? Yep, it's time for another challenge at Dynamic Duos! Woot-woot!  This week's challenge we are looking for "Subtly Yours" card creations using Marina Mist and Crumb Cake.  Here's what  I made for this week's challenge: I cut out 5 Whisper White trees using my Holiday Collection Framelits and then sponged Frost White paint onto them.  I free hand cut the "hills" using Crumb Cake card stock and also sponged the edges with Frost White paint (it dries very quickly).  The trees in the front row and the hill in the front row are adhered with dimensionals.   A Silver Foil Star and some Basic Rhinestones finish them off. :)  This card is not a standard size.  I have to make an envelope with my envelope punch board to match it- darn! :)  Inside there is another hill and a tree.  The Hill is a pocket which will hold a gift card or money. RECIPE: STAMPS: Bright Christmas (r...
