Just Add Ink #317

Hello, crafty friends.  I made another creation using the adorable Falling Flowers stamp set and May Flowers Framelits bundle.  For this card, I followed the color challenge at Just Add Ink.  This is such a fun bundle!  So many possibilities! For this card, I embossed all of the images in white and then die cut them out.  The flower center of the largest flower and the second largest flower were stamped in white on white cardstock, and then colored with ink refills and my aqua painter.  The remaining images were embossed in white on colored cardstock.  The white front panel was embossed with the Seaside embossing folder , and I cut a scalloped circle out of it using the new  Layering Circles Framelits .  I used two different stamp sets for the sentiments. The "sweet friend" is from the Thoughtful Banners , and the "a happy hello" is from Tin of Cards stamp sets. Product List: STAMPS : Falling Flowers (139556), Though...

Color Throwdown #398

Hello, crafty friends.  Today, I am sharing a fun card I made following the color challenge at Color Throwdown.  Here's the challenge: Some super fun, and bright summer colors for this weeks challenge.  The colors are stated as: red raspberry, hot pink, lime green and bright yellow. Here's what I came up with using: Raspberry Ripple, Melon Mambo, Cucumber Crush and Daffodil Delight Stampin' UP! ink colors. I started out by white washing a piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock with Cucumber Crush and Daffodil Delight ink refills.  I then heat set it, and flicked (like my professional word?) Raspberry Ripple droplets randomly onto it.  I, then heat set it again.  I was then ready to stamp my images using Basic Black ink.  This is the Falling Flowers stamp set. , and the sentiment is from the Love & Affection stamp set. I then cut three of the largest flowers from the May Flowers Framelits in Raspberry Ripple, Melon Mambo and Da...

Happy Birthday to my daughter!

Hello!  I have a quick post to share today. It's our daughter's birthday today and I am sharing the card I made for her using the Marquee Messages stamp set.  When she was little, her favorite color was green, but now its blue.  So, had to use the new In Color: Dapper Denim and its complimentary color: Soft Sky. As you can see, I am having fun with the Marquee Messages stamp set! And of course I had to use other new fun stuff on her card- namely the Festive embossing folder (141471), and the Fiesta Time Framelits (141475) which are the cool banner streams and flags at the top of the card. The number "19" is from the Little Numbers Framelits set which is now retired.  The Marquee Messages stamp set was embossed in Silver embossing powder, and pieced together.  I used  Dimensionals under the fun arrow. Thanks for stopping by today!

Hello, crafty friends! Today's card share features the Marquee Messages stamp set dressed in new In Color inks and homemade DSP made using the Perfectly Wrapped stamp set. Colors are: Peekaboo Peach , Sweet Sugarplum and Flirty Flamingo .  As my stamping friends know, limiting yourself to using 2-3 colors on a card usually results in fabulousness!:)     The Marquee Messages stamp set is photopolymer so its easy to stamp the words exactly where you want them.  There are 16 images in this stamp set and the set contains phrases perfect for finishing the inside of the card too!  So I would say this stamp set is even more fabulousness- HA! Marquee Messages The Perfectly Wrapped stamp set is also photopolymer and contains 17 images.  It was created for the Perfectly Wrapped Project Kit (142439).  This kit is perfect for all the busy crafters out there.  And who isn't busy these days?!  You can see a cute gift set I made wi...

Sweet Sugarplum Rose

Hello, and happy Tuesday! Lets Celebrate for Sunday Stamps! #128

Hello, and happy Sunday!  We have a new challenge for you to play along with at Sunday Stamps! It's a sketch challenge: And here's what I decided to create: Doesn't Dapper Denim, Sweet Sugarplum and Soft Sky look fabulous together?! A great new color combination.  And notice the Sweet Sugarplum washi tape?  It comes from the new Playful Palette collection.   I gravitated right to it because it contains so many of the new In Colors.  And look at the new 3/8" Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon?  LOOve it!  I also gravitated to the  Balloon Celebration stamp set  to make my card.  It is a carry over from the 2016 Occasions Catalog and really is a fabulous set.  There are so many different ways to stamp the balloons.   For this card, I stamped the balloons on a piece of Whisper White cardstock in Dapper Denim followed by Basic Black "dots".  I then added two more dimensionalized balloons stamped on Dapper Denim card...
