Sunday Stamps! #160

Hello, and welcome to another challenge at Sunday Stamps!  This week we are working with a sketch  challenge. Here's what I made for Sunday Stamps! #160: We have 2 wedding this fall, so it was nice to actually get one of the cards done ahead of time! Hoot-Hoot!  This is really my first play at the Beautiful Bouquet Bundle , and as you can see, it does make a beautiful bouquet of flowers! After die cutting the flower images, I sniped the petals around the largest flowers with my scissors and curved them upward with my fingers to give them added dimension. I really love the black accented paper in the pack of   Whole Lot of Lovely DSP .  It makes a statement all by itself but also does a fantastic job highlighting these flowers. Here's this weeks new challenge.  Entries need to be submitted by Friday, September 8, 2017.  Let's see you challenge yourself and play along! Here's the supplies I used to create my card: Beautiful Bo...

Christmas Quilt Sneak Peak

Hello, crafty friends.  Today, I am sharing my first "go" at the new and upcoming bundle called Christmas Quilt .  I have one customer in mind who is going to love this set, and I hope she approves of my first quilt- ha ha! Aren't those quilted trees adorable?  I quilted them- can you see the stitching??  tee-hee. :) The tree stamp itself has 2 pieces.  One created the triangles in Garden Green, the other stamp filled in the tree in with Real Red and Lemon Lime Twist.  You can then outline the tree with stitches as I have done here in Real Red.  The trees were die cut and stitched at the same time using the matching framelits called Quilt Builder Framelits Dies . And I thought the little stitched stamp was so fun that I had to add it randomly around my Lemon Lime card front (that's probably how my first quilt would really look like anyways). Sunday Stamps! #159

Hello, stamping friends.  Welcome back to a new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  This week we are working with a color challenge. Here's what I made using the Graceful Garden stamp set. I had so much fun experimenting with the large flower image in this set. Here's this weeks challenge: Stampin' UP! colors I used to create my card are: Daffodil Delight, Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo.   And did you notice the Garden Trellis Embossing Folder? LOVE.  I used my brayer and inked White Craft ink across the raised side of the folder before running it thru my Big Shot.  It gives it a soft, elegant look. To create the roses, I stamped them and then water colored the edges of the petals in the same color ink using my Aqua Painter.  The vellum leaves are from the Oh So Eclectic Bundle.  I haven't touched that set yet- yikes!  I think I have too many sets, if that's possible....nooooooo! Garden Trellis Embossing Folder (14374...
