Sympathy Card Set

Hello. Today, I am sharing some sympathy cards I made using the April Paper Pumpkin kit's extra stamp set called "All About Everything".   I kept my card pretty simple using one layer and 2 colors.  Here is Smoky Slate and Coral Calypso together. I liked it so much that I made several more in Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush and Pool Party.  It was so nice to use some loved retired accessories. :)  I love the strip of washi tape running down the left side. It's retired but came from the Sweet Dreams collection in the 2015 Occasions catalog.  In the end, I made a total of 10 cards; 2 each in each color shown below. Supplies: Stamps: "All About Everything" April Paper Pumpkin kit and Rose Wonder (140697); Ink: Basic Black and Smoky Slate; Paper : Smoky Slate, Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, Pool Party and Calypso Coral. Accessories : Thick Bakers Twine in above colors, Sweet Dreams Washi Tape in Basi...

Perfectly Wrapped Gift Set

Hello.  Today, I am excited to share a gift set I made using new goodies from the upcoming 2016-2017 Stampin' UP! catalog.  The new stamp set I used is called Perfectly Wrapped .  This stamp set coordinates with a project kit that makes a total of 16 adorable boxes and bags.  I was very excited to finally get a chance to play with this set! I paired Peekaboo Peach , a new In Color and with Melon Mambo.  Peekaboo peach is a very soft yet vibrant orange right in between Pumpkin Pie and a retired ink color called Apricot Appeal.  I think these 2 colors look great together. :) The other fun NEW items I used to make this gift set are: Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper , Pop of Pink Designer Washi Tape and Melon Mambo Thick Baker's Twine .   These items will be available for purchase from the new catalog starting June 1, 2016. Do you have your hands on the NEW catalog yet?  If not, there are 2 ways you in ...

Country Flowers

Hello, and happy Sunday!  I have been quite busy with my huge retired rubber stamp sale over the last couple of days, and I thank all of you who came out and took some of my old treasures off my plate! Today, I want to share a card I made with the "extra" stamp set that Stampin' UP! gave us in the April Paper Pumpkin kit called "All About Everything". Card base is Blackberry Bliss , followed by Mossy Meadow DSP , and then a piece of Crumb Cake stamped with the Hardwood background stamp using Crumb Cake ink.  I distressed it with my fingernail.  The main flower image is stamped in Rose Red ink and I cut it out and curled the petals outwards.  The smaller flowers are stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink.  The flower centers are stamped in Crushed Curry and the stems are stamped in Mossy Meadow ink.  I also add a "blue sky" in the background using Soft Sky ink.  The little berry flowers are stamped in Crumb Cake ink and I went back and added some dots o...

Paper Pumpkin Wreath

Hello.  Today I am sharing the wreath I made from the April 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit.  I used all of the material provided in the kit, but added 2 butterflies and changed the flowers a bit. I purchased the Cherry on Top Cotton Paper Assortment from the clearance rack with my retiring product order recently and thought this paper would work great for flowers on this wreath. I punched out three 1 1/4" scallop circles using the Watermelon Wonder color paper, and the three 7/8" scallop circles in the Crushed Curry color paper.  I added a brad to the center of each and then crunched them up a bit before adding them to the wreath with a glue dot provided in the kit.   The butterflies were stamped on Bermuda Bay cardstock in Versamark and embossed in Vanilla embossing powder.  The sentiment from the kit was stamped in the Very Vanilla pad provided in the kit, but decided to emboss it in Vanilla embossing powder as well. This is hanging in the entry w...

Sunday Stamps! #126 World's Greatest and Blog Candy!

Hello, and happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there! Sadly, my mom passed away long ago at the young age of 55. So, although I am grateful to be a mom, I miss my mom a lot. Today, is a new challenge at Sunday Stamps! and ironically I have a Father's Day card to share with you: I showed this to my daughter and we had a good laugh together.  Isn't it funny?  I am always wanting to add to my card, but I kept this card pretty simple and to the point.  Here's this weeks challenge at Sunday Stamps! . It's a sketch challenge.    You have until 6 pm on Friday, May 20, 2016, to join us!  We would love to see what you create, so challenge yourself and join us! I water colored Mr. Muscles using my Aqua Painter and the following ink refills: Soft Suede, Island Indigo, and Blushing Bride.  I used lots of Dimensionals behind the main grassy hill, the "World's Greatest " banner and Mr. Muscles himself.  I think my dad will get a ...

Hip Hip Hooray!

Hello, and happy Saturday!  Today, I am sharing a card I made with the Party Pop-Up Thinlits Dies . I absolutely LOVE these dies!  It was one of the first items I purchased when the Occasions catalog was released.  It is very versatile and unique.  It was intended to be used on the inside of a card, but as you can see it can easily be used on the outside as well. The matching stamp set called "Party with Cake"  is awesome too.  It has some fun sayings and can be used for anyone at any age.  This card is a case from Pinterest. I went back and found the creator and you can see her inspirational card   HERE  .  Remember, its okay to CASE someone!  And, as I recently told my customers - if we make 5 cards with our new stamp set, it will pay for itself! Doesn't that make you feel better? Ahhhh! So go make 5 cards today! Party with Cake and Party Pop-Up Thinlits Bundle (140814) I t's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack ...

Glimmer Butterfly

Hello crafty friends.  Today, I am sharing another card I made using the Floral Wings Hostess stamp set and the matching Bold Butterfly Framelits.  I used the same layout as my previous post.  Love those leaves from the Botanical Builders Framelits. I stamped a boarder around a piece of Pink Pirouette cardstock using the Timeless Textures stamp set and Blushing Bride ink.  I then ran the Pink Pirouette piece thru the Big Shot using the Honeycomb embossing folder. Next, I added a piece of Pink Pirouette DSP from Subtles Paper Stack and tied a piece of White Bakers Twine around the edge of the DSP. This was then adhered to the white card base.  The butterfly is stamped in Soft Sky and Pink Pirouette flowers and Pear Pizzazz stems were added to the butterfly. I then added a Blushing Bride Glimmer paper butterfly cut out from the Bold Butterfly Framelits . A Blushing Bride Candy Dot finishes it off.  Three leaves were added behind the butterfly cut out ...
