Oh So Succulent

Hello, crafty friends. I have another fun card to share with you today using the Oh So Succulent Bundle- again! This time I made a  4 1/4" by 4 1/4" square card. Oh So Succulent Card Supplies: stamps:  Oh So Succulent Bundle (retiring) card stock:  Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, and Soft Suede ink:  Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry, Sweet Sugarplum, and Old Olive accessories:  Succulent Framelits (retiring), Irresistibly Floral DSP, Sponge Brayer, Linen Thread, and Halloween Enamel Dots (now in the Clearance store!) So are you wondering how I made the background paper? First, I cut 3 pieces of the Irresistibly Floral Specialty DSP at 1 1/8" by 3 1/2" strips and randomly brayered Soft Suede ink onto 2 of the pieces while brayering Rich Razzleberry ink on the 3rd piece.  I used the awesome  Sponge Brayers.  I love these little brayers. They are so easy to use. Next, I took a paper towel and wiped the DSP off to remove th...

Sunday Stamps! Challenge # 151

Hello, crafty friends, and welcome to another fun challenge at Sunday Stamps! This week we have a color challenge for you to play along with.  Here's this weeks challenge: An orange color with some greens and a hint of light blue or green.  Here's what I decided to create using the Carosuel Birthday stamp set and matching Cupcakes & Carousels DSP .  Colors I used to create my card are:  Peekaboo Peach, Wild Wasabi, and Pear Pizzazz.  The horse in this set is so adorable.  You really don't even need to color him.  For this card, I embossed the images with Gold embossing powder and then went back and lightly colored the tent and horse using my  Aqua Painter and ink refills from Peekaboo Peach and Pear Pizzazz.   Carousel Birthday card supplies: stamps:  Carousel Birthday card stock:  Very Vanilla, Peekaboo Peach, Wild Wasabi and Pear Pizzazz ink:  Peekaboo Peach, Pear Pizzazz accessories:  ...

Nice and Easy...

No, I'm not talking about hair color- lol!  Today, I have a sneak peek of a quick card I put together using some NEW items that will be available for purchase in the upcoming 2017-2018 annual catalog!!! Here's my nice and easy sneak peak: Eeeek!  I so love the new Daisy Delight stamp set and matching Daisy punch ! This will be a new must have bundle to put on your wish list!  Attendees of Onstage were able to order select items- and although I got the stamp set for FREE while I was there, I of course had to get the matching punch with my pre-order. :)  And how about the cool Faceted Gold Gem in the center of the daisy? Another new must have item for your wish list!  And the last sneak peak item on this card is the delicious DSP called: Wood Textures .  These 6 x 6 papers are so on trend! To be fair, I must tell you that  I paired the Daisy punch for a leftover die cut flower from the Succulent Dies Framelits that I had made for my previous car...

Sneak Peek for Sunday Stamps! #150

Hello, crafty friends! Today, I have a sneak peak of a new bundle called Eastern Beauty.   This beautiful bundle will be available for purchase in the 2017-2018 annual catalog!  It will also be released for early purchase starting on May 1, 2017!  Hoot- hoot! I have 2 cards to share with you following the new sketch challenge at Sunday Stamps! Card 1: To make this card, I used a new In Color called Tranquil Tide along with Dapper Denim and highlighted everything in Gold.  The DSP behind the medallion is part of the Eastern Beauty Suite called Eastern Palace Specialty DSP and will also be available for early purchase starting on May 1, 2017. Here's Card 2: I started the card out by die cutting several shapes from the Eastern Medallion Thinlits into a piece of Whisper White card stock. Some of the dies in this bundle cut into your card stock while others cut shapes out of your card stock.  Isn't that cool??   I also used another fun...

Sending Thoughts

Hello, crafty friends! I am excited to share a card I made using the Sending Thoughts stamp set from the Occasions catalog.  My local host club ladies made a card using the same colors and sponging technique at class last month. I will tell you that when I first saw the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle in the Occasions catalog, I wasn't sure I needed it, but decided to go ahead and give it a whirl.  Well, I have to say that I have used this set THE MOST and I truly do LOVE it!  I am a big flowers kind of stamper and the images in this stamp set work well with so many flower sets like this awesome one called: So in Love Bundle . :) I can't stop using Flirty Flamingo!  I am wondering if my customers are getting tired of this color since we have made at least one project in the past 2 classes using Flirty Flamingo.  Sorry, ladies.  I will try not use it this month. :) Want to learn more stamping tips and tricks?  Why not sign up for my Newsletter ...
