Dynamic Duos: #83 Marina MIst and Crumb Cake

Hello! It's Saturday and you know what that means.....right? Yep, it's time for another challenge at Dynamic Duos! Woot-woot!  This week's challenge we are looking for "Subtly Yours" card creations using Marina Mist and Crumb Cake.  Here's what  I made for this week's challenge:
I cut out 5 Whisper White trees using my Holiday Collection Framelits and then sponged Frost White paint onto them.  I free hand cut the "hills" using Crumb Cake card stock and also sponged the edges with Frost White paint (it dries very quickly).  The trees in the front row and the hill in the front row are adhered with dimensionals.
A Silver Foil Star and some Basic Rhinestones finish them off. :)  This card is not a standard size.  I have to make an envelope with my envelope punch board to match it- darn! :)  Inside there is another hill and a tree.  The Hill is a pocket which will hold a gift card or money.

RECIPE:
STAMPS: Bright Christmas (retired)
INK: Versamark
PAPER: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, and Polka Dot Parade DSP
ACCESSORIES: Holiday Collection Framelits, Silver Foil Sheets, Frost White paint, sponge daubers, Basic Pearls, Marine Mist 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Lace Ribbon border punch and Dimensionals.

Don't forget to check out the other "Subtly Yours" card creations made by the design team for Dynamic Duos #83:

Have a great weekend!

  5. Annette, what a great design with the staggering of the trees on the snow dusted hills- the silver and rhinestones are perfect on just one tree! All of your other details are always a treat to see like the bow and dotted scallop border. TFS!

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
