Country Home

Today, I am sharing my first go with the Country Home stamp set.  Now, I will have to clarify that I have used the lovely milk canister in other projects, but this is technically my first play with the set and let me say that it does not disappoint. :)
I kept my card pretty simple, using some of the matching suite products found on page 42 -43 of the Holiday Catalog.    This was super quick and easy to color with my Stampin' Blends.  I love that there are new colors in the Holiday Catalog and that they match the Country Lane DSP.
I stamped the milk canister on the wood grain design from the Country Lane DSP and hand cut it out.  The flower arrangement was colored with: Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate, Old Olive, Blackberry Bliss and Cajun Craze Stampin' Blends.  I also added a piece of 3/16" Braided Linen Trim to my project for that added country feel.  Of course, the Tin Tile Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is a show stopper all by it self, but I elected to added just a strip of it to keep the focus on my floral arrangement.

Hurry!

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
