Sunday Stamps! #132: Sunshine

Happy Sunday crafty friends!  It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  This week we are working with a fun sketch:

Lots of possibilities for this layout.  Here's what I came up with:

I used a bunch of new goodies for this card.  As a matter of fact, I used 4 different framelits sets: Sunburst Thinlits, Layering Circles Framelits, Swirly Scribbles Thinlits and Sunshine Wishes-phew!  A super fun and super easy card to re-create.  And how about that DSP?  Its the "By the Shore" DSP, and it is so pretty in person.

For the "sunshine" word, I first water colored a piece of Thick White cardstock using Crushed Curry and Calypso Coral ink refills before I die cut it out.  I also used tiny pieces of Dimensionals behind it to make it pop- so really that part I guess is not super easy to re-create, but well worth it. :)

So now that you have seen my creation, head on over to the Sunday Stamps! challenge blog and check out what the other design team members have created- and then- join us!

Thanks so for stopping by today. Happy stamping!

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
