Just Add Ink #320

Hello, crafty friends.  Today, I have a shaker card to share with you following the sketch challenge at Just Add Ink.
I am having a lot of fun with the Jar of Love Bundle.  For this card, I used Peekaboo Peach and Watermelon Wonder ink for the beautiful flowers, and the stems are stamped in Cucumber Crush.  Peekaboo Peach and Watermelon Wonder look fabulous together.  To create the shaker, I stamped the jar image onto a piece of Window Sheet using Black Stazon ink.  I then die cut out the jar image on the white card front, and taped the stamped window sheet behind it.

We will making a shaker card somewhat similar to this at my Jar of Love Bundle class in August.  Deadline to sign up is July 31, 2016.  Please see my classes/events page HERE for more information.

Here's the inspirational picture from Just Add Ink that I used to create my card:

The sentiment is from the Helping Me Grow stamp set.  Here's a close up of the window sheet sandwich filled with sequins.  This set is perfect for making shaker cards!

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
