Grateful For You...

Good morning! Last week I saw the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches and drew a quick picture of the design on a scratch piece of paper and made a mental note to make something before the deadline of Monday. Well, low and behold that same night I woke up in the middle of the night knowing exactly what I was going to make. :) I made this card last Friday, but didn't have time to get posted until now with Halloween celebrating and all!   Here's the sketch: And here's the card I made: I am in love with all the colors I used for this card.  I also love, love the font and style of the stamp set from Merry Everything !  And with the matching dies to the Fall Fest stamp set, this card was a breeze to make! And doesn't that Filigree Frame embossing folder look nice?   I really like the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.  You should head on over to their challenge blog and check out all of the beautiful creations made by other talented stampers. Halloween Tricks-n-Treats...

Here is a picture of a few of the Halloween treat holders I made using the Stampin' UP! Fry Box Bigz Die.  I LOVE this die.  You can get 2 fry boxes out of one sheet of paper. Plus you can stack several sheets of paper before cutting. Very quick and easy to make!  I made Halloween treat holders for my Hostess Club ladies and also for a few people at work. :) After cutting the fry box out with Basic Black cardstock, I ran them thru the retired Spider Web embossing folder and then added White Craft ink using a sponge. And I love the Fall Fest stamp set with the matching Fun Fall Framelits Dies.  So quick and easy to make the 3D ghost and pumpkin!   The Merry Everything Bundle  is a given because any stamp set with a matching punch is awesome! :)                                       Fry Box              ...

FM 182: Happy Haunting!

Hello, stampers! At the  Friday Mashup  challenge blog, they have a very cool challenge called "In a Galaxy.  They provide you with 2 different tutorials on how to make a "galaxy" background.  I watched them both.  They were both so cool, that I decided to give it a try.  However, I had limited time to actually make the card and get it uploaded before the challenge closed. Plus, I didn't have easy access to my paints.  So, unfortunately, my card was made with my reinkers not paint. Bummer! But, I did have lots of fun making this and plan to dig out those darn paints and give the "galaxy" tutorial a try at a later date. Any who....here's the challenge:                                              And here's what I made: I used watercolor paper and followed the first tutorial of the 2 provided.  I also made a matching tr...

SSC86: Merry Christmas!

Hello, stampers!                                             Today, I made a Christmas card following the sketch layout over at Sunday Stamps! challenge blog.  Here's the sketch challenge: And here's my card. Colors are: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Whisper White with a splash of Gold. Oh, how I love to stamp holiday themed cards! So much fun!  I have only made a few so far, and I feel like I am already behind! UG!  I used LOTS of new goodies from the Stampin' UP! Holiday catalog to create this fun card. :) I stamped the "Merry Christmas" in Versamark onto Vellum cardstock and embossed it with Gold embossing powder. I then stamped the smallest snowflake from the  Endless Wishes  stamp set with my White craft pad (so I could see where I was stamping) and then embossed them with White embossing powder.  I stamped all 3 sized snowflakes ...

Happiest Birthday wishes, Hanna!

Today, is my sweet little niece's 2nd birthday!  Being that we live so far apart, I am unable to help my sister celebrate Hanna's birthday. Major bummer! When I was looking for the prefect stamp set to use for Hanna's card, I came across the very, very, very first stamp set I bought at my first Stampin' UP! workshop back in 1997:  Button Bear .  I truly love this stamp set and will keep it forever.  And now that Stampin' UP! has awesome Blendabilities, coloring Mr. Button Bear is that much easier! Here's Hanna's card:  Colors are: Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette and Tempting Turquoise. Good news: My daughter and I are planning our annual road trip in November to visit Miss Hanna and my sister while my boys (and the state of MN) are deer hunting. Yippee! Happiest Birthday wishes, Hanna!  Love, Aunt Annette

Good afternoon, stamping friends! Today I am sharing a Thanksgiving card I made this morning using a new Holiday catalog stamp set called: Holiday Home.   It has been sitting on my stamp table collecting dust, and today I got to play with it!  I followed 2 challenges. Links to the main Stampin' UP! supplis used to create this card:                This stamp set has so many possibilities! Can't wai...

FMS #155: Coral and Turquoise Birthday Wishes

Hello! I am behind on some birthday cards and was finally able to stamp a little bit this morning. Yippee! Can't wait till I can stamp regularly, but until then, I will be happy to get what time I can. The card design layout it based on the Freshly Made Sketches challenge blog.  Here is the challenge:                                                                   A pretty simple and fun layout using a tag as the focal point.  Well, I must confess that although I started out with a tag, I changed it several (million) times and ended up with a different focal point. : ) I wanted to use Coral Calypso and Tempting Turquoise- for no particular reason.....just came to me and so that's what I went with. I love, love the Hostess set: Bloom with Hope .  I have been encouraging my customers to get this set when ...

Warments Wishes

Hello, stamping friends!  It's been ages since I have had time to share anything on my blog! Today, however, I a had a few spare minutes and needed/wanted to stamp. AHHHH, I feel much better! I played with two challenges today. A sketch challenge from Viva La Verve and a color challenge from Colour Me.  Here are the challenges:                                                                  And here's what I made using the colors Coastal Cabana, Hello Honey and White. I kept my card creation pretty simple without tons of layering.  I colored the flower in a "sketchy" manner using the darkest Daffodil Delight Blendability along with Coastal Cabana Blendabilities.   Thanks for stopping by! Happy Stamping!   Annette                   ...
