Grateful For You...

Good morning!
Last week I saw the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches and drew a quick picture of the design on a scratch piece of paper and made a mental note to make something before the deadline of Monday. Well, low and behold that same night I woke up in the middle of the night knowing exactly what I was going to make. :)
I made this card last Friday, but didn't have time to get posted until now with Halloween celebrating and all!   Here's the sketch:

And here's the card I made:
I am in love with all the colors I used for this card.  I also love, love the font and style of the stamp set from Merry Everything!  And with the matching dies to the Fall Fest stamp set, this card was a breeze to make! And doesn't that Filigree Frame embossing folder look nice?

I really like the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.  You should head on over to their challenge blog and check out all of the beautiful creations made by other talented stampers.
A few stamping notes:
The leaves surrounding the main phrase were first stamped off onto a piece of scratch paper to obtain a softer look. Grateful for You was stamped in Early Espresso. I colored my Rhinestones with Blendabilities.
Supplies:
Ink: Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz and More Mustard
Paper: Soft Suede, Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz and Very Vanilla (and retired DSP paper)

Stamp sets and accessories:

Fall Fest Photopolymer Bundle                Merry Everything Clear-mount Stamp Set              For All Things Clear-mount Stamp Set      Filigree Frame Textured Impressions Embossing Folders  Ovals Collection Framelits Die   Rhinestone Basic Jewels Embellishments

The Fall Fest Bundle is awesome!  Great for Halloween and Thanksgiving cards.  Love those little leaves. They are the perfect size for a handmade card. :)

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you get to stamp a latte!

  1. So many wonderful details here! I love how the sentiment is stamped on top of your collage of images and the embossing gives this such rich texture. Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
