Happy Sweet 16 to my daughter, Rebecca!

Today is my daughter, Rebecca's Sweet 16th Birthday! I have such fun every year making her birthday card because I always get to use new goodies from the Stampin' UP! catalog! Today's card is no exception.  She only requested that I not make her a "pink" card.  Well, I hope Crisp Cantaloupe is not considered pink to her..... Here's her card:  No need to think of what colors to use...just grab the new Birthday Basics designer series paper ....  and you will be set to go! RECIPE: STAMPS: Cycle Celebration and Memorable Moments INK: Gumball Green and Raspberry Ripple PAPER: Raspberry Ripple, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Crisp Cantaloupe, Very Vanilla and Birthday Basics DSP ACCESSORIES: Crisp Cantaloupe Ruffle Stretch Trim, Stripes EF, Window Frames Framelits, 2 1/2" circle punch, Boho Blossom punch, 7/8" scallop circle punch, Itty Bitty Shapes punch, Decorative Label and Large Oval punch, Brights Candy Dots, Paper piercing tool, mat and guide....

FMS91- "Cutest Baby Ever"

Today I played along with the Freshly Made Sketches No. 91 layout.  It is a very clean and simple layout, and I whipped this card up in a matter of minutes thanks to Stampin' UP!s awesome stamp sets that have matching punches.  Here's the sketch: And here's what I came up with:  Super simple, super cute! A potential Make and Take card. : )   RECIPE: STAMPS: Label Love INK: Raspberry Ripple and Crisp Cantaloupe PAPER: Very Vanilla, Raspberry Ripple and Birthday Basics DSP ACCESSORIES: 3/8" Crisp Cantaloupe Ruffle Stretch Trim (OMG! LOVE THIS STUFF!), Artisan Label and 7/8" scallop circle punches, Basic Pearls and Dimensionals. I am sooo loving the new 3/8" ruffle stretch trim ribbon!  It's so awesome!  Happy Stamping!

Oh, Hello

This is the card that I was talking about in my previous post.  As you can see, the Tea For Two DSP is the same size and placement.  Club ladies had a fun time creating the Baja Breeze flowers on the card using the 1 1/4" and 7/8" scallop circle punches.  We punched out five for each flower and scrunched them up.  We then placed a brad in the middle and scrunched them up some more.  For the final touch, we used a sponge dauber to darken the petals. RECIPE: STAMPS: Oh, Hello INK: Island Indigo, So Saffron and  Whisper White craft PAPER: Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla and Tea For Two DSP ACCESSORIES: Honeycomb EF, Baja Breeze, Old Olive and Island Indigo markers, 1 1/4" and 7/8" scallop circle punches, Occasions Paper-piercing pack, Ovals Collection Framelits, Paper Doilie, Basic Brads, and sponge daubers. I really like how it turned out. I'll have to make more of these. : )  Happy stamping!

Welcome Back to me!

Yep, I've been busy up here in Minnesota with my son's high school graduation party, family visiting and working!  At least I was able to see all the creations being made by fellow stampers with the new goodies from the 2013-2014 Stampin' UP! catalog...which helped me get thru it. : )  Today, I cleaned off my stamping table which consisted of scrapbook papers and pictures of my son, Josh...and put it all away.  What a nice feeling to see my stamping table again! I had a nicely cut piece of  Tea For Two DSP sitting on my desk which was left over from a Make and Take card made back in April ....yep, pretty messy desk...and decided that I would incorporate it into my card creation.  But what to make? I decided on a birthday card for my mother-in-law, Lillian who's birthday is at the end of the month....perfect!  So here's what I made for her 87th birthday:  I believe it is similar to the Make and  Take card that I will share on another post in th...

Pool Party Wedding

Here is another wedding card I made using the very fun All Dressed Up Framelits . I cut a window out of a piece of Pool Party card stock using  the Window Framelits Die and ran the card base thru the Lacy Brocade embossing folder (retiring on May 30th!).  A piece of Pool Party DSP was placed behind the window opening and this was matted onto a piece of Basic Black card stock.   However, I decided it needed to sparkle, so I added 2 strips of Silver Glimmer paper to the sides and in between the Basic Black and Pool Party layers (no need to use a whole piece!).  This then gave me the reason to add a belt to make the wedding dress sparkle too. : ) I used the Paper Doilies (love them!) to form the dress bottom. This time I used one Paper Doily that was cut into a 1/4 and 3/4 piece and wrapped around the dress. I also cut two scallops off another doily for the top of the dress.  I the used the Scallop Oval from the Oval Framelits to create the very bottom o...

Wedding Celebration

I have been so busy with my oldest son's college plans and getting ready for his graduation party.  Posts may be infrequent until after all the celebrating is over.  However, as I was preparing for an upcoming party, I had leftover or unused stamped images, etc. sitting on my stamp table, and today was a great day to create something as the weather is very gloomy today. Club ladies will be making a wedding card using the Dress Up Framelits and Paper Doilies.  When creating the card, I had a leftover wedding dress partially made, so I finished it up.  Here's what I came up with:  Colors are: So Saffron, Baja Breeze and Whisper White.  Color inspiration came from the Tea for Two Designer Series Paper.  I used one and 1/2 Paper Doilies to create the bottom of the dress and added another piece of Whisper White card stock that was cut using the largest scallop oval from the Ovals Collection Framelits.  I hand cut it after placing it behind the do...

Serene Birthday Wishes

Here's another share I found on my computer.  I love the Serene Silhouettes stamp set.  It was one of the very first stamp sets I purchased from the 2012-2013 Stampin' UP! catalog.  It is very versatile.  It will fit just about any occasion.  Lots of fun stuff used to make this card.  Colors are: Midnight Muse, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla.  Color inspiration came from the strip of designer series paper from the Comfort Cafe collection. Accessories : Delicate Doilies Sizzlits, Argyle Embossing Folder, 1 3/4" circle punch, Bitty Banners Framelits, Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack, Crumb Cake Seam Binding, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals, and small flowers are from the triple flower punch-retired. On a side note: I'm so excited for my daughter, Rebecca! She leaves tomorrow for a fun trip with her fellow high school band members to tour Los Angeles and San Diego, California! She will be participating in a Masters Class and will also be visitin...
