Fresh Cut Flowers

Hello, crafty friends. I know you haven't seen much of me or a lot of creations being posted here on my blog but I do have a reason. My youngest child hurt his back over 2 years ago and has been trying to alleviate it  by the steps recommended by chiropractors, physical therapists, exercises and the like he has done regularly to no avail or improvement in his condition.  We were told surgery should be the very last option at his age.  As he was getting ready to head back college (insert apprehensive feelings about this), his symptoms became worse and we decided at the last minute that he couldn't go back.  Fast forward to today, he has had surgery and is now healing.  As a result, the last several months have been difficult for him but also for me emotionally seeing him in pain.  Now that we have gotten thru the surgery, a lot of heavy weight I have been carrying around has been lifted.  My creative ambition is slowly returning with the hope that the surgery will improve his condition and  lead him back to a normal life style.  With that being said, I will continue to share crafty creations with you because it also therapy for me...but it will be as time permits as I am a full time "mom nurse" at present and would not want any other job on this planet. :)

Today's card uses the Fresh Cut Flowers Bundle that was part of the Perfect Partners Promotion that ended on September 30th.  I finally had a chance (desire) to try it out and am pleased I decided that I "needed" it. lol  Although it is no longer available as a bundle, it is a crafty creation worth sharing as I know some of you purchased it.

I stamped several images of this flower cluster with the plans to use all three together on one card and ended up changing my mind along the way and only used one for this card (I made another with the remaining 2 clusters that I will share later).

I colored the flower cluster image and the 3 additional smaller flower images using: Polished Pink, Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends.  After they were die cut out, I adhered them to a Daffodil Delight cardstock piece that was embossed with the retired Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, followed by a Basic White layer and then finally adhered to a Daffodil Delight card base.
My sentiment is from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and was stamped onto a Basic White cardstock piece that was die cut with the Stylish Shaped Dies.

All die cut elements were added to the my card front using Dimensionals and I added a few 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds to finish it off.

I can think of lots of people I want to send this to - so I better make a few more and of course I will probably change up the colors as I love to create them not necessarily reproduce them. ;) lol

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
