July Paper Pumpkin share

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I am sharing one of the Paper Pumpkin creations I made using the July  Paper Pumpkin called: The Adventure Begins.  I really liked the tri fold cards Stampin' UP! created for this kit! Such a fun kit!

Because I love to create (and not waste a piece of paper-lol) I did cut the tri fold card into 3 separate pieces to make alternative creations.

For this card, I used the inside/plain piece to create my sky and stamp the very cool tree in the kit.  I first created a colorful sky by blending in Misty Moonlight and Mint Macaron ink using the Blending Brushes.  So fun and so easy!  If you don't have the Blending Brushes- what are you waiting for?! :0

Next, I stamped the middle/dark tree image using Just Jade ink followed by two trees next to it using Mint Macaron ink.  To assemble, I adhered the front Paper Pumpkin kit piece overtop of my stamped piece using Dimensionals followed by a layer of Garden Green cardstock and finally a Basic White card base.

I saved the middle piece and created this:

I cut down the middle kit piece and layered it onto a Basic Black piece followed by a Garden Green card base.  I used the kit pieces but separated each of them so that I could added more ink color to the ground piece and the large tree.

I kinda got carried away and added some Shimmery Crystal Effects to the stars and some Clear Wink of Stella to the moon.  Either way- it was fun to make. :)

Did you know that you can order a refill Paper Pumpkin if you are a current Paper Pumpkin subscriber?  Don't forget to check the online store HERE to see if they have a refill kit for any that you really like.  Sometimes they sell out fast so be sure to check it right away.

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
