A Touch of Ink

Do you know what my background paper is for this card?  It's a trick question. lol  Using Coastal Cabana ink, I randomly stamped the solid flower image from the A Touch of Ink SAB set onto a piece of Basic White cardstock until the entire piece was covered.  I did both first and second generation stamping.  I could have used any of the solid images, but I chose the floral one.

And then to add more depth and interest, I added a piece of Basic White cardstock that was die cut with the Potted Succulents Die background die.  I love this die!!!

The adorable butterfly was stamped in Memento Black ink and filled with Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay inks before it was hand cut out.  

I embossed the sentiment in White Embossing Powder onto Basic Black cardstock and die cut out using the Ornate Frames Dies.  

I added a piece of Pool Party Sheer Ribbon behind the sentiment, and finally added a few of the Matte Black Dots.

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

 Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

 It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear.
