Wrapped in Plaid

Hello, crafty friends. I hope your Christmas preparations are going well.  I still have things to do, but hope to be ready to make cookies by the end of this week (cross my fingers).  Today, I am sharing a winter scene I made using the Wrapped in Plaid Bundle following the new challenge at Sunday Stamps!
I just love the Wrapped in Plaid Bundle! It is so easy to create with and and in no time you will have a great card! For this creation, I used the real life like tree image and stamped it several times using Garden Green ink and created a line of trees onto Crumb Cake cardstock.  Next, I added some falling snow with a dot image from the Nature's Beauty stamp set that was stamped in Veramark and embossed in White Embossing powder.

For fun, I added some puff paint along the edge of another Crumb Cake layer in front of the trees. After punching out my tree with the Pine Tree Punch, I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set in Memento Black ink.

Here's this weeks new sketch challenge at Sunday Stamps!
What a great sketch challenge by Lisa. Super easy with a lot of options.  To play along with us, submit your creation to the Sunday Stamps! challenge blog by Friday, December 27, 2019.

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
