Petal Pink

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I am sharing a Petal Pink card I made using a variety of Stampin' UP! products that I love.  To steer my creative direction,  I used the Grapefruit Grove Foil Sheets and die cut "happy" using the Well Said Bundle and ended up pairing it with the color Petal Pink.

These sheets are super shinny and can be paired with many colors. such as Flirty Flamingo,  Pumpkin Pie, Grapefruit Grove, Powder Pink, and Blushing Bride.  I am sure there are many more, but those come to my mind immediately.

Another great combination of colors is Petal Pink and Calypso Coral.  Don't they look great layered together here?

This flower cluster is from one of my all time favorite stamp sets from last years Occasion catalog called Petal Palette.  I colored the flowers using Petal Pink, Light and Dark Calypso Coral and the leaves with Light and Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends.  I love the sketch look of the images in the this stamp set. It makes it super easy to dab color onto the images with out worrying about how perfect I am coloring.  I also added some delicious Whisper White leaves from the Wonderful Floral Framelits, and little butterflies from the Butterfly Beauty Thinlits.

Pair all these beauties with the Lovely Lace Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder  and you have a beautiful Petal Pink creation.

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
