Mango Melody meets the Snowflake Showcase

Hello, crafty friends. Today, I am sharing a quick and easy Christmas card I made using the Snow is Glistening stamp set along with the Snowfall Thinlits.  Its quick and easy because I used one of the Silver Foil-Edged Cards as my card base. :)
The Snow is Glistening and Snowfall Thinlits are only available in November or while supplies last.  The snowflake images in this stamp set are just gorgeous and the matching framelits are "da bomb"!

To create my background panel, I inked up 3 different sized snowflakes using Mango Melody ink, and just for fun- spritzed them with water before stamping directly onto a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock. Next, I added some small clusters of snowflakes (without spritzing) in some of the open areas.  The key is to not add a lot of snowflakes to your background panel in order to keep the central focus on the big beautiful Silver and Mango Melody die cut snowflake.

BTW,  did you know that there are 20 framelits in the Snowfall Thinlits set?  An amazing number with an amazing amount of possibilities for creating and layering! :0

We don't carry Mango Melody ribbon, but you can create your own matching ribbon by running a piece of white ribbon over your ink pad.  For this card, I held a piece of 3/8" Silver Metallic Edged Ribbon down over my Mango Melody ink pad using my bone folder and then "pulled it" thru the ink.  Super easy to do and the mess stays in the ink pad and bone folder tip- not your fingers. :)
