Botanicals Blooms for Sunday Stamps!

Hello, and happy Sunday! Today we have a new sketch challenge for you to play along with at  Sunday Stamps!. Here is challenge #120:

And here's what I decided to create using the Botanical Blooms Bundle found on page 26 and 27 of the Occasions catalog.  In this bundle you get 3 items: the stamp set, the framelits, and the matching designer series paper.  Purchasing this bundle is like getting the DSP for FREE! And who doesn't like FREE stuff?? Especially if it all matches!

Colors are straight from the DSP: Mint Macaron, Cajun Craze, Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow and Old Olive.  I also used the Softly Falling Textured Embossing Folder, the Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Balloon Celebration stamp set (page 12 Occasions), and the flower centers are the It's My Party Enamel Dots (page 6 Occasions).

Now that you have seen my creation, please head over to the other design team members listed below and check out their creations, and then head on over to Sunday Stamps! and join us!

Thanks for stopping by today! Happy Sunday and happy stamping!

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
