CAS-Colour Challenge # 45: Joy and Love

Hello!  I finally had a chance to stamp this morning and browsed around blog land for a fun challenge.  At CAS, they had a great colour challenge so I played along.  Here's the color challenge:

  I love, love these colors. Basic Gray and Soft Sky or Pool Party are AWESOME together! Throw in Cherry Cobbler, and it will be doubly awesome!
Here's my "clean and simple" card creation:
I used the Joy and Love single Stamp offered by  Stampin' UP! for this card.  Believe it or not, this is the first Christmas card I have made for 2013 Season!!  UG! I am behind!  But such is life, right?
RECIPE:
STAMPS: Joy and Love
INK: Cherry Cobbler
PAPER: Basic Gray, Pool Party, Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White
ACCESSORIES:  Red Glimmer Paper, Deco Labels and Labels Framelits, Festive Paper-Piercing Template, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding, Holiday Collection Framelits (stars), Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter with glue pen.

    I'm glad you enjoyed playing along in our color challenge at CAS - Colours and Sketches! You've done a fabby job with the challenge. I really like how you've alternated the direction of the embossed stripes and the stamped stripes. The bits of bling are a great finishing touch!

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

 Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

 It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear.
