Last Day to Sale-a-brate!

Hello, my stamping friends.  I did not announce, but I was out of the state last week vacationing in Florida with my family....trying to remember what warm weather feels like.  It was a great time, and even my fair skin got color. :)  Most days were sunny with some rain and clouds, but all in all, just perfect for us Minnesotans. We came back to more snow on the ground (bummer) and we are expecting another inch or so of snow tonight. Sigh.....
Today is the LAST day to place a $50 order and receive Sale-a-bration goodies. So I thought I would show you this cute little 3 x 3 box and matching cards I made using the See You Later SAB stamp set.

The first picture is of the box laying flat on the table with an adorable red flower on it made using the Spiral Flower Die (#129379).  It is surrounded by the cute cards.

The next picture is of the box leaning against my backdrop so that you can see just how pretty that spiral flower really is. :)

Next are the cute 3 x 3 cards I made.  There are four images in the See Ya Later SAB stamp set - so I made 4 cards.  And on each card I also used the Banner Blast SAB stamp set and matching Banner punch for a total of 3 SAB items.

The last picture is of the backside of the box.  I actually have 2 note box cards in this picture.  I used my favorite DS paper: Fresh Prints paper stack (#132996)

This was such a fun project to make!  And today I am offering anyone who places a $50 order today this cute little box and matching note cards absolutely FREE!  Orders must be placed by today for you to receive this as my special "thank you" for your business with me.  :)

Dynamic Duos #96: Your Choice!

Good morning! Happy Saturday!  This week at Dynamic Duos, you get to choose the color of your choice  to pair with Gumball Green!  Here's the challenge:
And here's my card creation. I chose to use Island Indigo with Gumball Green.
A simple card, I know, I know.
But hey, I think it looks darn good with it's simple presentation. The flowers are so vibrant that you really don't need to add too much. It makes a statement all by itself.  In case you didn't know, I'm a sucker for flowers...all of them.  I have way too many stamp sets that have flowers, but gosh darn, this set is so so pretty. Don't you think so??? Have I mentioned how much I LUV (as Tenia Nelson would say) that water mark image?! It's absolutely my most favorite "stamp image" in the new catalog.
And look how cool the Scallop embossing folder looks with it.  LUV it!

I stamped two sets of flowers and aqua painted them with my reinkers after stamping the water mark randomly over them.  I did add some Crushed Curry to the center of the flowers as well.  And see those white dots?  That was made supper easily using the White Chalk Marker. Another yummy accessory to add to your stamp/craft collection. :)
RECIPE:
STAMPS: Happy Watercolor
INK: Basic Black, Island Indigo, Garden Green, Smokey Slate and Crushed Curry
PAPER: Island Indigo, Garden Green and Whisper White
ACCESSORIES: Aqua painter, Scallops embossing folder, White Chalk Marker, retired Island Indigo ribbon and dimensionals.

Dynamic Duos #95: Triple Threat Week

It's Triple Threat Week at Dynamic Duos, and this week we are looking for crafty creations using the colors: Rich Razzleberry, Soft Sky and Pale Plum.  Here's the challenge:
And here's my card creation:
I have about a half a pack of the retired color Pale Plum left....so I was able to use the exact colors for this challenge (note: I probably have EVERY retired color since the creation of Stampin' UP!...no joke).  Hoarder?  Nah....
I used a current stamp set called Cycle Celebration and some retired DSP paper in Rich Razzleberry and Soft Sky.

The cycle is stamped in Basic Gray. I then sponged Soft Sky onto the wheels.  I added some glitter to the spokes on the wheel, the handle bars and seat.  Then I topped it off with a couple of Rhinestones.  It definitely looks like a sparkly bicycle in person. :)   I also used the new SCALLOPS embossing folder and sanded the DSP to distress it a bit.
RECIPE:
STAMPS: Cycle Celebration
INK: Basic Gray, Rich Razzleberry and Soft Sky
PAPER: Rich Razzleberry, Soft Sky, and Pale Plum
ACCESSORIES: Oval Framelits, Banner Framelits, Scallops Embossing folder, Needlepoint Border Embossing folder, Scallop Edge Border punch, Itty Bitty Shapes punch, Corner Rounder punch, White Bakers Twine, Basic Rhinestones and retired Rich Razzleberry ribbon.

Good Thoughts

Hello!  First, I would like to apologize for the lack of blogging.  I have been a very busy mom and really haven't had much time to stamp.  But I am grateful that I do get stamp as it is a great stress reliever.

Dynamic Duos: #94 "Black Tie Week"

It's Black Tie Week again at Dynamic Duos, and this week we are looking for crafty creations using Black and More Mustard with the option to add "dry embossing".  Here's the challenge:
And here's my card creation:

I actually had NO idea what I was going to make, but knew that I wanted to continue to use all my new SU stamp sets and goodies from the Occasions catalog.  So after looking at what sets I haven't used in awhile, I decided on the GEOMETRICAL stamp set.  I aslo knew that I had to incorporate some dry embossing, so I decided to make a quilt looking background with the triangle stamps and matching triangle punch for this set. Who knew quilting could be so easy! : D
We have a wedding to attend in early  April, and this is the card I am giving them.  I hope they like it. : )
Here are some of the products used to make this card:
