Dynamic Duos #96: Your Choice!

Good morning! Happy Saturday!  This week at Dynamic Duos, you get to choose the color of your choice  to pair with Gumball Green!  Here's the challenge:
And here's my card creation. I chose to use Island Indigo with Gumball Green.
A simple card, I know, I know.
But hey, I think it looks darn good with it's simple presentation. The flowers are so vibrant that you really don't need to add too much. It makes a statement all by itself.  In case you didn't know, I'm a sucker for flowers...all of them.  I have way too many stamp sets that have flowers, but gosh darn, this set is so so pretty. Don't you think so??? Have I mentioned how much I LUV (as Tenia Nelson would say) that water mark image?! It's absolutely my most favorite "stamp image" in the new catalog.
And look how cool the Scallop embossing folder looks with it.  LUV it!

I stamped two sets of flowers and aqua painted them with my reinkers after stamping the water mark randomly over them.  I did add some Crushed Curry to the center of the flowers as well.  And see those white dots?  That was made supper easily using the White Chalk Marker. Another yummy accessory to add to your stamp/craft collection. :)
RECIPE:
STAMPS: Happy Watercolor
INK: Basic Black, Island Indigo, Garden Green, Smokey Slate and Crushed Curry
PAPER: Island Indigo, Garden Green and Whisper White
ACCESSORIES: Aqua painter, Scallops embossing folder, White Chalk Marker, retired Island Indigo ribbon and dimensionals.

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
