The Stamp Man (i.e. UPS) dropped off my new goodies from the Holiday Mini catalog last night!!! Woo-who! Just touched them last night.....but did sit down this morning and made my first creation using the Googly Ghouls stamp set. Woo-who! See, it's still August....and I have my first Halloween card! : ) Take a look:
Aren't they cute? I just love it! Hence, my love for Stampin' UP! In the picture below, you can see that I 3D'd franky's face and the mummies, too. The trick or treat bag also has a dimensional behind it. Add the Googlie eyes, and walla! A very fun Halloween card !
It's hard to tell, since my camera isn't the greatest...but I used the Festive paper-piercing mat to paper pierce the Basic Black Window Frame die. I just love the new paper-piercing mats for the Framelit dies! They are an awesome addition to this years catalog! : )
Recipe:
Stamps: Googly Ghouls, Wicked Cool and Spooky Bingo Bits
Paper: Basic Gray, Basic Black, Tangerine Tango, Very Vanilla and Howlstooth & Scaringbone DS paper
Ink: Stazon Black, Tangerine Tango and Basic Gray
Accessories: Window Frames (yummy!), Festive Paper-piercing mat, Basic Gray 1/4" stitched grosgrain ribbon, Chevron Emb. folder, Finishing Touches Edgelits, paper piercing tool, aqua painter and Black Glimmer Brads and Googlies.

Sirene Birthday wishes
I am soooo excited today! We are heading to Kansas City to see my baby sister and help her celebrate her pregnancy with a baby shower! Hosted by none other then "ME" and my sister-in-law, Natalie. : )This is her first baby, she knows its a girl...and I am geared up to see her, my little nephews, my dad and hopefully my cousin and her little girls! I've been working hard on putting together fun games, finger foods and of course made her a scrap book and blanket. :) Woo-who!
Today's card is one of my favs I made back in July at the cabin. Love, love the Big Shot Delicate Doilies Sizzlits. It is awesome! I also used the Essentials Paper piercing mat (again) and love that, too!
I used the Comfort Cafe designer series paper, Soft Suede, Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse, and Baja Breeze card stock. The sentiments in the Curly Cute stamp set works great with this paper, too.
I will definitely be making more of these for my card box. : ) Have a great weekend!!! Annette

Card for my Hostesses
Here is one of the cards I made for the sweet ladies that have been in a stamp club with me during the 2011-2012 SU catalog year. Each one of them also received the Fancy Fan Embossing folder as my "thank you" gift for their business with me. I was going to add a "thank you " to the outside of the card....but decided it looked good just as is, and left the thank you sentiment for the inside. : )
I used the awesome Comfort Cafe designer series paper and cut it with the Adorning Accents Edgelit. I then did the same with the Cajun Craze card stock strip behind it. I then used the new Essentials Paper-piercing mat to add the paper piercing around the edges. The Mixed Bunch Petal was snipped to give it more dimension.
I then added an Early Espresso twine bow along with a glimmer brad for the center of the flower.
Below you can see the inside of the card. As you can see, I almost forgot to take a picture of the cards before I sealed them up, but remembered in time before the last one was sealed up. : )
Thank you all so much!!!! Annette

Pumpkin Pie Silhouette
Here are more card examples using the Polka Dot Parade designer series paper. This time I used the awesome new set called: Serene Silhouettes. To make the card "pop", I also added some hand cut butterflies from the Kindness Matters stamp set.
I used my Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive markers to color the stamp image and presto....a nice "water color" looking image. Other SU material: Fabulous Phrases stamp set and Bitty Banners Framelits.
Below are two more examples of the above card only this time I used both sides of the Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Parade designer series paper.
What do you think of the Polka Dot Parade designer series paper now? : )

Your a Gem
Here's a quick card to share for today since I haven't posted in awhile. Just a fun card I made using new SU products such as the Polka Dot Parade designer series paper, the Apothecary Accents Framelits Die and matching stamp set - Layered Labels, and the butterfly from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set. The framelit was popped up onto the scallop circle from the Perfect Pennants Bigz L die. Colors: Marina Mist, Real Red and Soft Suede.
The Polka Dot Parade designer series paper is easy to work with, and the colors even go well together. Just flip the paper over (as I did for the Real Red stip under the butterfly) for an added accent. This would be great for scrap booking. : )
Thanks for stopping by. Stay tuned for more examples using the Polka Dot Parade paper in my next post. Till then, happy stamping!
