AESTAMPS A LATTE

Okay, I was naughty this morning and did not do mom duties, but instead stamped.  I couldn't help myself. It was a perfect morning to stamp.  Everyone was busy with activities....so I took advantage of it.   :) RECIPE: Stamps: Aviary, Woodgrain and Teeny Tiny Wishes; Ink: Not Quite Navy, Tangerine Tango,  Whisper White craft Paper: Not Quite Navy, Tangerine Tango, Brights DS pack, Old Olive, Garden Green; Accessories:   Word Window, 5/16" circle, Two Step Bird and Dotted Scallop Ribbon punches and an orange brad. Okay, here is the last Open House Project we made for the kick off of the new Stampin' UP! 2010-2011 catalog.  A note pad with an inside pocket using FRIENDS NEVER FADE and the matching GREENHOUSE GALA DS PAPER.   Colors are: Baja Breeze, Early Espresso and Pear Pizzazz.  Note: my ribbon does NOT look so hot because I decided to had sticky tape behind it....after it was completed.  My stampers projects ribbon looks much better than mine. :)   Have a blessed Sunday!  Annette

Here's the 3rd project we made in early  August.  The focus of this card was the following new and cool stuff: Owl Punch, Daffodil Delight card stock, Pear Pizzazz card stock and 1/2" poly ribbon, Greenhouse Gala DS paper, and everyone got to use the Big Shot with the  polka dot embossing folder.  And yea, we used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon punch  again, too!  A fun card to make! I had planned to head down to my stamping area while the boys were still gone and play with some of my new Stampin' UP! items I recently received, but I decided that I should catch up on a birthday card I started but never had time to finish, and then I noticed I have an anniversary coming up so I might as well get it done since I was on a roll.  I have many little pieces of stamped images, flowers, punched words, etc.. laying around on my stamping table that I didn't use as I created, but no way can I throw it away!!!  For both of these cards I had several things just hanging around....so that's how these cards came about.  Don't you just love using "leftovers"??? I did use my new Bitty Buttons (page 186 of catty), and of course the awesome Dotted Scallop Ribbon punch ( page 201)  found its way onto my cards, too.  :] I am posting today as I have a busy Monday ahead of me.  See you at the end ...

We practiced our water coloring technique using Naturals White card stock.  It works very well for water coloring because it is so nice and thick.  The lighting takes a little away from the cards soft colors. I am in love with the Patterns Designer Series Paper packs on page 175 of the catty.  Here we used Rich Razzleberry from the Brights collection.  Recipe: Stamps: Growing Green, Apple Blossoms Ink: Black Stazon, Rich Razzleberry and So Saffron reinkers; Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Pink Pirouette, Brights DS paper pack; Accessories: Pinking Hearts border punch, Wide Oval Punch, Lots of Tags Die (love it!), Rich Razzleberry taffeta ribbon, So Saffron brads, Aqua Painter and dimensionals. Isn't Marina Mist an AWESOME color???  I absolutely love it!  This project features many new Stampin' UP! items that are must haves:  2 3/8 inch Scallop Circle punch, D otted Scallop Ribbon punch, Woodland Walk DS paper, Marina Mist ink and card stock, Afterthoughts (level 1 hostess set) and Apple Blossoms (level 2 hostess set). Of course, a field of flowers in the background with a blue sky and soft clouds makes this a great card, too! I made another card using scraps I had left over from designing a project for my Open House.  I have always loved Baja Breeze and now I am addicted to Marina Mist with Baja Breeze and Old Olive.   New accessories I used for this card are:  Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, 2 3/8" scallop circle punch, Dotted scallop Ribbon Border punch, and Marina Mist 3/8" Taffeta ribbon.   " Thanks " comes from the new Level 1 Hostess stamp set: Afterthoughts.  The center flower is from the Level 2 Hostess set: Apple Blossoms.  Don't you agree that these colors look fabulous together???       Hope to see you at my Open House!    Annette

Here's another card I made using Playful Pieces.  It was fun to create the flower.  Then, after looking at it for awhile, I decided to try the "handle" stamp image and used it as an outline for the petals.  Very fun and easy to create. Recipe: Stamps: Playful Pieces and Teeny Tiny Wishes Ink: Old Olive, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry and Basic Black; Paper: Old Olive, Melon Mambo, retired DS paper (I'm drawing a blank); Accessories: 3/4" circle punch, scallop trim border punch, Melon Mambo ribbon, dimensionals. Notice anything similar to my last post?  Yep, DS paper.  I told you I had a little tote to put all my Stampin' goodies in!  I brought Razzleberry Lemonade DS paper along with matching papers and inks and made several different cards using the same colors.  I was getting more bang for my buck, right? Recipe: Stamps:   Playful Pieces (Hostess Level 3 set), Watercolor Trio Inks and Paper:   Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Basic Black, Whisper White and Rich Razzleberry  DS paper; Accessories: Rich Razzleberry grosgrain ribbon, large oval and scallop oval punches, 1/2" and 5/8" circle punches, paper piercing tool and guide, and black brads. NOTE: Notice the flowers on the butterflies?  You can stamp whisper white over the butterfly image and not worry about "staying in the lines".  The whisper white on the white disappear!  Try it!
