Scenic Adventure for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday! Can I just say how fast time flies in the summer? :0

I have been running in all directions and haven't had much time to visit my beloved craft room as I normally would. That being said, I did find time to create with the new Scenic Adventure Bundle for our new color challenge at Sunday Stamps! and it does not disappoint.

I love the outdoors and the Scenic Adventure is absolutely gorgeous!  This card reminds me of the trip my daughter and I took in Washington hiking Rainier Mountain.  It was breath taking and this card exemplifies that experience.

To create my card, I started by blending Pumpkin Pie ink onto a piece of Basic White cardstock. Next, I die cut the mountain range using Secret Sea cardstock and sponged in a little White craft ink for my snow.  I then added snow caps using Basic White cardstock.
Next, I die cut 2 tree lines using Mossy Meadow and Garden Green cardstock that I sponged with ink.  Next was the water. I stamped the water image using Balmy Blue ink onto Balmy Blue cardstock and wall-a! A beautiful scene was created.

My card follows this weeks new color challenge at Sunday Stamps! below.

Impressions a Bloom for Sunday Stamps!

Happy Sunday!  Right now I am knee deep in making decorations for my daughter's upcoming baby shower next weekend and the theme is Winnie the Pooh! lol :)  I am going to be a grandma for the first time and all I can say is that I am really is exciting! I forced myself to clear off my stamping table (well actually just push stuff away) and created a floral card for this weeks new challenge at Sunday Stamps!  The Impressions  a Bloom Bundle is one of my newest favorite sets and I really have not had time to create with all of the very many different ways you can with this set.  Here's my 2nd go. Soft pastel colors? Count me in!  And these petals exemplify the softness you can achieve with the Impressions a Bloom .  For these flowers, I stamped 2 in Peach Pie ink followed by Timid Tiger ink. The 3rd flower was stamped using Fresh Freesia ink. I first stamped off onto scratch paper and then used full strength for the detailed/outline stamp. Next, I d...

Perfectly Pears for Sunday Stamps!

It's Sunday and today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! Yahoo!  I love card challenges because it makes you think outside the box and at the same time gives you something to create with whether it be a color challenge or a sketch challenge.   For this weeks creation, I focused on the new Online Exclusive Bundle called Perfectly Pears .  This bundle is part of a suite and the products in the suite are gorgeous.  For this particular creation, I focused on the adorable set of pears and a few of the coordinating dies. I stamped the outline set of pears image using Pecan Pie ink and then stamped the solid part of the pear image using Darling Duckling ink which also had some Timid Tiger ink sponged onto it as well. I then took my Darling Duckling and my Timid Tiger Stampin' Blends and outlined some of the edges of the pears to add more depth to each Pear. Next, I colored the leaves and stem using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends...
